I really enjoyed Parker and his crew. It was a good read and did not want it to end, so am hopeful there is a sequel.
I am partial to Cebo, Parker's cat and all around good kitty!!!!
I appreciated the author's sailing terms at the beginning of the book.
More, In Deep Salt, Please.

Mike Latta's first novel, In Deep Salt, is reminiscent of the writing style of the John D. MacDonald's Travis McGee novels, except maybe with a little more blood and gore thrown in just to keep things interesting. The protagonist, Parker, is the kind of guy you'd want to share a cold greenie with in a down island bar sometime. You'd definitely want the ex-marine on your side if things got ugly at the bar. Even better would be to have his psycho cat, Cebo, on your side. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and purposely read it slowly so that I wouldn't get done with it too darn fast. You can read some sample chapters at Mike's website, (michaellattanovelsdotcom) and no, I'm not really Mike in disguise. Happy reading. I'm hoping he's writing a sequel.
