I read this book in it entirety to my son when he was just three years old. He is now seven years old and we are still pulling it off the shelf to re-read as one of his favorites...yes, all time favorites! The author brilliantly organized and compiled the text. Even for a person who was a hopeless student of history, such as myself, I found that by the time we completed reading the book, my son and I were both able to easily create a narrative chronological time-line of American History just by recalling the mini- stories and the individuals of faith presented by the author. Each story is succinct, easy to understand, very interesting..keeps ones attention, wholesome, and entwined with just the right balance of intriguing historical facts ... beginning with Lief Ericson 1000 A.D. on through the 20th century. I am anxiously awaiting the author to write/publish another book!! This is a book to add to your permanent family library.
