    great read

This book will rank with Thomas Merton's Seven Story Mountain as a book revealing the journey of a soul. It isn't historically on a level with Merton but it has all the elements of a good story with the impact of the truth and it is written for todays searcher. Delightful descriptions of one person's journey to the Jesuits and the perfect fit he found at last.

In Good Company: The Fast Track from the Corporate World to Poverty, Chastity, and Obedience

James Martin's account of his transformation from a dissatisfied '80s yuppie to a novice in the Jesuits is a revelation! Incredibly accessible, not at all stuffy, 'In Good Company' tells the story of how an 'average guy' working in corporate America fought--and then surrendered to--a calling to the priesthood. Funny, vivid and, as Cardinal Avery Dulles said, 'A book for just about anyone who can read'--so that means YOU!

In Good Company: The Fast Track from the Corporate World to Poverty, Chastity, and Obedience

This is a moving and beautiful book. It's the story of James Martin, a young corporate executive, who realizes that there's something missing in his life and goes looking for it. His spiritual journey, which is moving, captivating and sometimes funny, eventually leads him to join the Jesuits, a Catholic religious order. And so he moves in short order from a yuppie life in New York to working with the poor in the slums of the developing world. It's a beautiful book, and a great help for anyone looking to experience the spiritual in their lives.
