In Light Syrup

Editorial Reviews

All Music Guide - Stephen Thomas Erlewine
Toad the Wet Sprocket's rarities and B-sides collection In Light Syrup works surprisingly well. Instead of sounding like a motley assortment of leftovers, the record forms a cohesive whole and highlights the group's considerable melodic talents. There aren't many departures from their gentle, R.E.M.-derived folk-rock, but that is the band's strongest point. No fan of Toad will be disappointed by In Light Syrup.

    Wow, this is awesome!!!

This is by far the best Toad album. I have all of their albums and even some from Lapdog and Glen Phillips since they broke up and nothing compares to this. This is one of those albums that just seems to have its own unique feel to it that nobody has come close to matching. It's great music to listen to when you need to relax. The other toad albums are great, but this one takes the cake in my book. My wife isn't even a Toad fan but she loves listening to this album with me. It's also a great album for intimate occasions. There's one or two songs that I normally skip over even though they fit the mood of the album (hobbit on the rocks). Without question, purchase this album.
