In My Dreams

Editorial Reviews

All Music Guide - James Christopher Monger
Hispanic country crooner Rick Trevino's fourth English record is a brokenhearted love poem that radiates with Nashville polish. It was produced and co-written by Raul Malo, whose skills have been honed to perfection at his day job as the voice of the Mavericks. The ten songs on In My Dreams manage to sound both country "Overnight Success" and Latino "Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman" with an emphasis on Trevino's rich, honey voice. The title track is a lush, radio-ready lament, ripe with one of Malo's signature Roy Orbison-inspired choruses. As a whole, In My Dreams succeeds with its beautiful arrangements and Trevino's faultless vocals, making it a gem among...

    Sensational With A Capital "S"

On past albums, Rick Trevino has done some very good work; but IN MY DREAMS far exceeds even his previous success. Quite frankly, this is an incredible album. Rick Trevino is in top form vocally and stylistically. His musical orchestrations soar with a moving, vibrant, exciting pace. Every selection is a listening pleasure: especially the high-spirited "Overnight Success" and "Beautiful Day". Of particular note is his passionate rendition of "Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman" from the movie "Don Juan DeMarco". The movie version pales in comparison to Rick's stirring vocals. IN MY DREAMS is a musical jewel and I highly recommend it. You won't be disappointed.

    Powerful, inspiring and downright good!

When we first heard Rick's music we noticed right off the Maverick flair. That was very exciting since we have been fans of the Maverick's (Raol) for long-long time. Rick is a handsome young talent that we are glad to have.
