Roberta Shallcross finds herself struggling to stay alive after

Roberta Shallcross finds herself struggling to stay alive after an accident gets her separated from her family and stranded in the mountains with horrible, snowy weather.  She comes upon a cabin and she can only hope someone can help her.

David Henderson has given up on life.  He is ready to drink himself to death and join his beloved wife, Sarah.  He hasn’t been able to deal with her death and blames his self for her murder.  But one night something interrupts his drunken pity party.  Who is this frozen woman standing on his doorstep and why did he feel the strong pull to help her when all he wanted to do was die.

I was hooked from the first chapter to the very end.  The storyline was awesome and the characters were great.  Harris’s book was well written and it keeps your attention.  If you love Historical Romances this is definitely the book for you.  I highly recommend it to anyone!

In Sarah’s Shadow by Harris Channing
This was my first book I had read by this author and it will not be my last. I really loved the story between Roberta (Bobbie) and David. Roberta is lost in an early snow storm and David finds her. David has been a shell of a man since he lost his wife five years ago. Bobbie can see the good man underneath and her faith in him ends up saving him. After finding out her family died in the storm it is David’s turn to save her.
This story grabbed my interest from page one and I was hooked till the end. I really loved how Bobbie was a strong woman although she was better for having David she could have survived by herself. If you like historical romances with strong women in them this is a good fit for you.

In Sarah's Shadow by Harris Channing, Roberta Shallcross falls i

In Sarah's Shadow by Harris Channing, Roberta Shallcross falls in a creek as her family takes a stop in Colorado on their way to Wyoming. An early blizzard almost freezes Roberta to death but luckily she stumbles upon David Henderson's cabin. David has spent the last five years drinking away his sorrows in isolation.  His wife Sarah was murdered and he blames himself. As Roberta slowly sobers David up and shakes him out of his depression, secrets are revealed.  I don't want to spoil the story but I will say I absolutely loved how the historical romance had intrigue and suspense elements.  The twist with...well someone...was something I wasn't expected..and definitely enjoyed. Highly recommend this story
