Meet the Author

Michael Asher is a Sunday Times bestselling author, who wrote biographies of
Wilfred Thesiger and T. E. Lawrence. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and
is a world-renowned historian and desert explorer. He was awarded the Ness Award by the Royal Geographical Society in 1994, and the Mungo Park Medal by the Royal Scottish Geographical Society in 1997, for his desert exploits. As a British writer, he has published 20 books and counting.
