Overview

Have you ever wondered: Is there really a God? If God does exist, why can't I find him? Why doesn't God communicate with me and answer my prayers? "In Search of Truth, A Layman's Guide to Awakening One's Faith" is for people of all religious beliefs who are interested in starting their own spiritual journey to seek union with our Father. You will learn how to search for and find God, how to develop and expand your prayer life, and how to recognize and avoid sin. Mr. Gross explores the true Catholic faith versus what people think Catholics believe, including a layman's guide to the celebration of the Eucharist. "In Search of Truth" is well documented with footnotes. It contains a section on prayers and a glossary to explain religious terms. It has been granted a Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur from the Catholic Church which means it is free of doctrinal or moral error.

"In Search of Truth" will be of interest to the following:
• Those interested in beginning a journey in discovering, developing and living in both a spiritual and physical reality.
• Christians who want to learn how to develop a loving relationship with God.
• Those interested in developing a deeper and more rewarding pray life.
• Those interested in understanding the Catholic faith.
• Those who have left or have fallen away from their Christian faith.
• Catholics who want to refresh and better understand their faith.

The book will also make a good guide for Christian High School youth groups of all denominations and RCIA candidates.

Meet the Author

At the age of nineteen, Chuck Gross was sent to Vietnam to fly helicopters. There he experienced firsthand the ravages of war. He saw the impact that war had on man and discovered how faith helped one sort through the emotional trauma that soldiers experience in combat.

Years later his experience in meditation drew him to the great mystics of the Church. He spent many years studying their writings, which guided him to the early writings of the Church Fathers. Mr. Gross has over twenty-five years of teaching experience, which includes teaching meditation, martial arts, self defense, and flying. He has also worked in youth ministry. He is the author of the number one best seller "Rattler One-Seven, A Vietnam Helicopter Pilot's War Story" and is a retired Captain with American Airlines.
