Meet the Author

Alexandra Morton, known as "the Whale Lady" to many of her fans, lives in Simoom Sound of Gilford Island off the west coast of British Columbia. She supports her research with her writing, photography and artwork. Siwiti: A Whale's Story (Orca, 1991), her first book, won the Sheila A. Egoff Children's Book Prize and has had numerous printings.
