    Paladin, priest, amazon.

'In the Darkness, Hunting' is a unique collection of the tales of Chimquar the Lionhawk. The prose is gritty and loquacious by turns, the stories hard-edged and heroic. These are not the tales of busty, love-lorn damsels mincing about with swords; rather, these are on par with, if not better than, the standards of male heroic fantasy. Imagine Conan without his script, lost in a world where he must rely on his wits and his skills rather than his reputation. Imagine a mature hero, hard-eyed, one that would make Vallejo throw down his brushes in frustration. This is Chimquar the Lionhawk. Now read on!

    Chimquar is back!

This is the kind of fantasy that truly excites and energizes the reader. I have waited to hear more about Chimqaur since 1979, and this new collection (with some wonderful original reprints) doesn't disappoint. Frank is still one of the best in her genre. No fantasy fan should miss out on this treat.

    The Continuing saga of Chimquar

This is fantasy that breaks all the rules and proves that Frank is on par with the best of them. Heartstopping adventure is an understatement. Chimquar is not only unique, but she is also smart, tough and edgy. This is a herione that creates her own legend, and then lives up to it like no other character has been able to. If you love fantasy this collection is a must!
