cheap classics often = mess you have to sift through. i did make myself guess or wade through some of the mess because i liked the story so much. so i guess that says something for the work itself, this is just not the best version to try and read.

Great story but some typos. The book was readable and in better condition than the other free download of this same title.

A wonderful story. I love his writing. My version wasn't full of typos either. Complains must be for another version. Philtre Libre version is nice.

Do not buy any copy of this book from the nook store! They are all filled with OCR errors. Go online and get a copy from the project Gutenburg website for free. They have it in epub format. I hop this helps, because this book is a greatly underappreciated classic. :-)

Wells imagines for us a utopian world in which greed, jealousy, violence, and all the rest of humanity's vices have been eradicated. A clarion call to buck the current system of grasping pettiness and start anew; a sort of 'Atlas Shrugged' for socialists (only based on selflessness rather than selfishness, and not nearly so long or tiresome, thank God!) Some scanning errors made it hard to read at times, but not impossible, and worth the effort.
