This is a wonderful book, written with taste and class!!! The recipes are wonderful (I tried several of them and they were delicious! No real insight into Dianas life, but...with palace rules and all... anyway, it is a great book and Burrell provides interesting and genuine information in the book! Great job, Paul!!!

In the Royal Manner,by Princess Diana's butler, Paul Burrell, is a beautiful, coffee table style book filled with professional quality food photos. Arranged by seasons, it includes everything you need to know about entertaining, from selecting and caring for the appropriate wines, to how to eat difficult foods and properly prepare a guest room. It has menus for all types of meals, from a romantic dinner for two, to a children's party, to Victorian High Tea. Directions for decorating and flower arranging are included, as are directions for a summer wedding and pictures of various castles and events- including the front door of "the Princess's" Kensington Palace home. There are snippets of information about royalty, but absolutely no "tell-all" about Diana from her loyal butler- the person she called her "rock." Recipes include such traditional dishes as Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding and Teatime Scones. If, like me, you like royalty, England and food (not necessarily in that order), you will love this book. (Makes a great gift!)Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
