    A remarkable woman

This is the story of our sovereign God's grace towards this remarkable woman. It's been a pleasure to know her.

    A Tremendous Story

This true story is an amazing tale of triumph over adversity. Somebody really should make it into a movie. There's actually much more to the story. I know, because Margaret is my aunt. It's all true and I'm so proud of her for writing this amazing book.

    What a Blessing!

This is just a wonderful book, and I highly recommend it! It's a well-written, interesting, and humorous account of one woman's remarkable life- her struggle with polio, and its life-long effects, and the Lord's sustaining grace that has upheld her. Her story truly personifies what the Lord says to his believers in II Corinthians, 'My grace is sufficient for thee.'

A True Life Story of Courage and Faith

In the 1950's the scourge of our country was the fear of contracting polio. This is the poignant story of a talented girl who grew up in a typically close family and was stricken with polio as a teenager. She relates her struggles as well as the many laugh-out-loud humorous events that accompanied her through many years on the path to emotional independence, love, marriage, the discovery of the power of the love of Jesus Christ in her life, and the debilitating effects of the post-polio syndrome. This book educates the uninformed of the pain and indignities suffered through polio, the value of the facilities at Warm Springs, Georgia, and the challenges and difficulties of establishing an independent life. Her own art work, a soft watercolor painted with a brush between her teeth, graces the cover. She shares some of her lovely poetry throughout the story, and she stresses the values of a loving family life as well as her personal relationship with the Lord. Young and old will be touched and surprisingly entertained through the very last page.

    beautifully moving story

This is a compelling story of an overcomer in the true sense. Full of serious AND funny anecdotes. A story that reminds you that God is in control of all things. Without Him where would this woman be??
