Overview

HERE AT LAST is a CD to help you with your public speaking and performing challenges!

In The SpotLight: Guided Exercises to Create a Calm and Confident State of Mind, Body, & Spirit While Speaking or Performing

Janet Esposito, M.S.W., author of In The SpotLight: Overcome Your Fear of Public Speaking and Performing, has teamed up with colleague Diane Bahr-Groth,C.Hy., who is a Certified Hypnotherapist, to create a powerful CD that helps you to face any public speaking or performing challenge with greater relaxation, confidence, and ease!

Janet will lead you through a series of exercises, including a guided relaxation and healing meditation exercise; an exercise to help you desensitize to the feelings and sensations of fear; a positive visualization and self-affirmation exercise; and a coaching segment. All of these exercises will help you to create a relaxed, confident, and empowered state of mind, body, and spirit as you think about and approach any speaking or performing challenge.

Diane will lead you through a self-hypnosis session designed specifically to help your unconscious mind create a new pattern of responding to these challenges. This will help you to let go of any negatively conditioned responses to speaking or performing and to create a new, more positive and resourceful attitude and feeling about speaking and performing on a deeper level.

We know how valuable it is to be guided, supported, and inspired to create more resourceful states of mind, body, and spirit when you are feeling alone and afraid in facing this challenge. These exercises will help you to create feelings of deep relaxation and inner peace; a positive, confident state of mind; and a belief and trust in yourself and your ability to take on whatever speaking or performing challenges you face!

Only CD that specifically helps with public speaking fear and performance anxiety!

This CD is extremely effective for reducing anxiety in general and especially before public speaking/performing events. I have had panic attacks for over 20 years due to this fear. After reading Janet's books and attending her workshop, I made significant strides in overcoming this. This CD combines the experience of her workshop and both her books in one convienient place, which serves as a great refresher. Last month, I had a presentation coming up and I listened to it daily for a week. It calmed me down so much that I didn't even come close to having a panic attack. That presentation has been the best one I have done yet!!! The CD boosts my confidence by listening to the Positive Visualization and Imagery exercises, Self-Affirmations, and Janet's wrap up with a Pep Talk, a brief coaching session at the end. The beginning of the CD begins with a great progressive muscle relaxation exercise, followed by meditation, then Janet soothingly speaking about the ways of letting go of the fear. The self-hypnosis part is simply amazing! I find myself falling deeply in at this midpoint on the CD. Diane's voice in combination with the music is extremely peaceful. There are no other guided meditation or hypnosis exercises quite like the ones you will find on this CD. It is very specific to the fear of public speaking and performing, which cannot be found elsewhere. I highly recommend this to you. I find it useful on a consistent basis to keep myself in practice with the tools Janet teaches; I find it especially helpful on a daily basis before an upcoming event. Enjoy!

    A Powerful CD

The CD starts with breathing exercises accompanied with a narration in a peaceful voice and with light music background. Then the CD goes to positive hypnosis and positive self-affirming prep talks and the last sections refer to techniques to refocus negative thought. It brings out self-awareness. The best part is that the CD offers solutions to face the fear and suggest riding with the fear like a wave instead of fighting it. I think it can be very helpful for psychologist, therapist and teachers who want to help others manage stress and boost up positive self-esteem of patients or students. It works equally well as a personal growth tool for oneself. The Spotlight CD got me relaxed and out of the bad mood. This is a powerful CD and is very good for stress management and for positive self -affirmation. After attending the Spotlight workshop, the CD is an encapsulation of the highlights of the skills learned in the book and at the workshop. This CD helps to creat a calm and confident mind for performance.

Use This CD Over and Over

I would highly recommend this CD for anyone who does public speaking. The CD provides cognitive and emotional strategies for preparing for any oral presentation. The narration and music are very soothing, and the strategies are very effective. I use this CD at home and also in my car on the way to presentations. I am a college professor and plan to include this CD on my syllabus as a recommendation for anyone who wants extra wisdom in this area. Being relaxed during speaking makes all the difference in the world!
