In the trenches of mediocrity: Ashes of fire Pt 3 of 4, 300 poems
What can we call this? This strange art form that almost no one reads and even less care about? The craft of poetry. Do I have a will when writing these poems? I don't mean to answer any timeless questions but give to you pieces of my heart and soul for the price as to however much you paid to get this book.
Nothing really needs to be sought out except to make this the absolutely best work that I can give which was in great timing. Now that i've started my career on Sept 29th 2025; I don't have any time to write or do much of anything else. This book was completed at a cafe in Las Cruces, NM back when I was working security at the library making 14$ an hour. Some of the poems you'll read in this are from working this thankless job.
'In the trenches of mediocrity' is a title my wife came up with one night while we lived at her parents house in the guest room. 5 ½ months of painstaking trials within. This is the forerunner to my completed works which should be finished and ready in 2 years. 300 poems spanning back to the year 2007. It's 20 years of a life as food gone cold and bad but compelling and hopefully interesting. This is the unlucky 13th book, this is Ring 13.
My biggest thing is that you and anyone else that lays hands on this book accept Jesus Christ first of all as your Lord and Savior because ultimately that's the whole reason I walk this american earth. But the lesser reason is that you find what i've written to be genuinely entertaining. There are way too many horrible poets out right now and i'm praying to God that even though I consider myself among some of the worst but you at-least thought to yourself 'Damn that was funny'
