If I just want to complete a puzzle without too much effort, I pick up this book. I found the clues straight forward and for a person just starting to do crosswords, it would probably be sufficiently challenging. I purchased it because it was titled to "Keep You Sharp" - that was not my experience with it but I prefer the puzzles from the NY Times.
