She gazes down the hill, beyond the small, whitewashed house that she knew would be there. The church looms dark and grim with its rough-hewn, timber façade, capped by tall, oblong spires reaching to the sky. Black, ominous clouds have collected above the roofline, as if Heaven is showing her the way.

I¿ve decided this is my favorite angels book ever!!! Some series

I’ve decided this is my favorite angels book ever!!! Some series get boring and repetitive as they continue and some get gracefully wonderful as they continue- this series is the latter! The characters are evolving, there’s more characters coming into the game, and the awesome scenery is gorgeous!! And you know I kinda love love triangles, so let me just say- there’s not only one BUT TWO!! Different characters that come in are all full of romance!!

Finally, Evie gets back to Reed! And I stupidly fanatically love Bunz and Zephyr!! I know I’m supposed to be in full support of the main characters, but I’m still loving Russell, and B&Z have taken over my giggle worthy moments!! And all the crazy starts because everybody and their momma want Evie, they all think she will be their newest weapon of power! And Brennus has every intent of getting Evie back under his thumb! And then… What happens to Bonnie and Russell- see told you all the crazy hits the fan!

And theirs a whole new bad guy! And Reed makes me mad on this front. She is NOT always the fragile girl, so his actions made me a little nuts! And when things finally get hopefully, it’s just heartbreakingly sad! And…. I get an awesome kiss- but no spoilers

I do think that this one does have a more dark feel and there aren’t as many “happy, funny” moments but that doesn’t make it any less lovable! There’s so many points to talk about but I’m worried to give away too many spoilers! So.. I think you should just read this series!  5 DANGEROUSLY SOARING PAWS from me!!

    I Also Recommend:

WOw, just gets better and better. Great Series.

I can’t stress enough, how much I just love this series. It’s full of emotions, funny parts, and scary action too (not nightmare kind, just creepiness overall in parts)
I find Evie such a strong person. She fascinates me on how unconditional she loves. Also, at how fierce she is when she wants to protects those she loves. She will always put them first, its an amazing thing.

This book brings a whole new set of dangers for poor Evie. She sacrifices her own freedom to save Brownie and Russel from a very evil creature. She ends up having to make a deal, and make a magical contract with Bremmus, which is the worst. Having to give up seeing Reed to go with Bremmus (who is a faerie/vampire called the Gancanagh) who agreed to kill this other creature to save Russel and Brownie, it a magical binding one, she physically can’t see, talk to, or go to Reed. She sees him, she goes frozen, can’t talk, move or anything, if she tried to contact him, no form of doing so works, even through others, as it knows it’s through them she is trying to get a message to Reed. So its really bad. But the good part is Bremmus agreed to not bite her, or any others in the clan, and also not to try to change her into one of them. If one bit her, it breaks the contract. So it’s quite interesting at all the things that go on here for sure.

I don’t want to say too much more at what happens overall, there is a lot for sure. It sets up great for the next book for sure.
This series is one of the best I have read. Its got so much going on, but so well plotted out. I really have enjoyed this amazing world that Amy has created. She is truly gifted.

I absolutely LOVED this book. Have read all books in the series

I absolutely LOVED this book. Have read all books in the series to-date, and I have got to say... I am never compelled to write reviews about books unless I, A.) REALLY like them (really) OR B.) want to warn people against them. This book series definetly falls under a. I love how the characters are developed. This is a book about angels. I was thinking ok blah blah blah... gimme the works on angels- but not once did I think I was going to be blown away by the rich story behind this tragic love story and the other supernatural beings that come along with is (SPOILER...... the fellas in the later books :) ) Anyway I am no expert critic but this is a MUST READ!!!

Indebted is the third book in The Premonition series and so far

Indebted is the third book in The Premonition series and so far was the most emotional one for me. Evie’s evolving and learning to use her powers. Reed’s afraid that most will want to protect her but knows some will want to capture her. I want to know WHEN Evie’s going to listen to Reed? You’d think she’d realize by now that when she doesn’t she puts those she loves in danger. Evie is forced to make a decision between saving her friends and making a deal with the devil. Something hit me while I was reading this book and that was that Amy A. Bartol’s writing is so powerful that it can evoke emotions in you without having to shove it in your face, IE: sex, torture, etc…I really felt for Evie while she struggled to hold on to Reed and understand what she feels for Brennus. They’re both in her blood and are willing to sacrifice themselves for her. I LOVE this series and think the writing is amazing. Now my biggest decision is whether or not to wait until Iniquity comes out before I read Incendiary!!!! I like knowing I can get my fix by cracking open the next book.

    - “It’s me. Call me when you get this.” Hanging up, I start to wonder if I affect Russell just as Brennus affects me. I wonder if the sound of my voice rips open all the scars I have left behind in him.

In circumstances you'll have to read to catch up on, Evie finds

In circumstances you'll have to read to catch up on, Evie finds herself living with Brennus and the Fellas at his estate in Ireland. Though she's missing Reed and the rest of her friends/family she decides to play along to stay alive, meaning not dead...and not undead. Be it for a certain event in the previous book or from living with her enemies...she quickly finds that as much love as she has for Reed, for Russell, and the rest...Brennus and the Fellas (well a select few anyway) have wormed their way into her heart too.

Though she still fights for the life and the love she truly wants and needs.

And while she battles, loves, orders about, fights to protect Brennus and the Fellas, fights against Brennus and the Fellas (busy girl right?) in the background Reed, Russell and the rest of their beautifully crazy family fight to get her back. I was overwhelmed with happy tears as Reed snuck into Evie's room to just hold her.

He not once stopped looking for her, and a way to reach her. His love. His Aspire.

So if you haven't fallen in love with Reed yet...get ready to do so. And if you're already a Reed Fanatic...get ready to fall in love again!

Zephyr and Buns, Brownie, and our good ol' boy Russell didn't sit out on this rescue either. All wanting their friend, or soul-mate in Russ's case, home with them where she belongs. Again I'm not wanting to spoil too much for you so I will leave off with specifics at this point.

All in all Indebted was one heck of a book! I have never had my emotions so twisted as I did in this one. These characters have been written so clearly in their personalities that I have no problem watching them in my mind move about in this crazy world they call home. They laugh...I cackle. They cry...I'm a sobbing mess. They go to battle...I'm shouting my war-cry and attacking the enemy with a verbal assault that would make any sailor proud. You must check this book out for yourself.

What do you say about a book that sweeps you away into another l

What do you say about a book that sweeps you away into another land...another body? What do you say when you can live a different life through the eyes of a character?

    Woohoo!!!!

This book and this series is AMAZING!!! I will admit it...when I first started reading the series, I was thrown off by Russel's clunky dialogue, then came the stilted dialect of the Gancanach, but I've gotten used to it all and I'm in the rhythm. The truth is this is one of my favorite series of all time.

Evie is strong yet flawed, and so realistic. She has feelings for three different guys at this point. And what is amazing is I totally get why. Each one of them has redeeming and not so redeeming qualities, each one is a viable option in a given circumstance and that is the genius of this story. The tension and and focus shifts, allowing the reader to experience the true depth of each character.

I totally have a soft spot *obsession* with Brennus. Yeah, he's evil, but is he really? Amy Bartol made me question that. I'm still questioning that now that I've moved onto book four. I really felt for the Gancanach and fell totally into their world. They have survived for so long by being a family, maybe a bit like the mafia? I don't know. There are some really unsavory things about them, not the least of which is that they kill women left, right and center. The thing is, they didn't ask to be Gancanach. It isn't as though they are evil by choice. It's more by nature.

In this installment, we get to see more of what Evie is facing and we get some really great info. I left this novel so enamoured with Brennus that I claimed Team Brennus. We'll see if that holds up because, really, there are no bad options, only different.

I secretly, or not so secretly, hope that Brennus and his clan will somehow be redeemed in the end. It is very unlikely that our dear Evie will ever choose the poor guy, but one can only hope. The truth is I don't know who I would choose at this point.

If you haven't started this series and enjoy YA or NA paranormal, this is a must read.

I told Amy on Twitter that she was a literary goddess and I meant it. She has become a favorite of mine so quickly.

Amy Bartol has done for Angels what Stephenie Meyer did for Vampires. My humble opinion. Don't believe me? Read the series and tell me I'm wrong.
