Overview

After 30 years of playing the field, Dr. Jake Reid meets the perfect woman in the cereal aisle of a grocery store at midnight. Emily Logan is stunning, thought provoking and utterly frustrating with her reserved demeanor and guarded heart. Regardless, Jake believes Emily is it even before their first date and works overtime to win her heart.

An arsenal of fancy restaurants like French Laundry, Le Bernardin, and Urasawa for his foodie girlfriend, along with trips to San Francisco and Hawaii aren't enough to withstand a misunderstanding between Emily, Jake and Max - Emily's ex-boyfriend. Emily quietly packs her bags for Japan, leaving no trace behind but a frantic Jake left to search for the woman he wants to make his wife.

Jake's Story tells the Indelible Love story from his perspective, from the night they meet to the day they live their happily ever after. Questions from Emily's Story unfold in rich and yummy details. What was Jake thinking leaving Emily stranded at the Grand Canyon? Why did he go so long without talking to the love of his life? What led him to believe that Emily chose Max over Jake? Read about the first three dates that never really happened and how Emily ended up in New York both times without Jake.

With more than a hundred pages of Emily and Jake's relationship never mentioned in Emily's Story, a complimentary and eventually a complete story is told. And in the end, the prince finds his princess and they live happily ever after, with an additional surprise... or two.

Meet the Author

I started writing back in Dec of 2009 after I saw an interview with Stephenie Meyers. She told Oprah that she always had stories in her head and that struck a chord with me. Whenever I drive, I have all kinds of stories circulating in my mind. Generally, I am the star of this story and many wacky things happen. Of course, I make the story quite complimentary and beneficial to me. I guess you could say Meyers channeled my head case into a novel.I am first a wife and a mother, as well as a restauranteur and a caterer. Writing is my last profession and a late-found one. I have a B.A. and an M.Ed from UCLA (yes, just like Emily from Indelible Love) and taught 1st grade for four years till I had my first child, a son. Two years later, I had my daughter and the two kids ran my life till they both started school. My husband and I opened a restaurant in LA when we first got married and have been in the food service industry for almost 17 years.I think I’ve always been a foodie at heart and though it sounds strange, loving food did not have anything to do with opening up a restaurant. That was all my husband’s idea. I didn’t even know I could cook till I got married. And then I discovered, I love cooking! I love everything related to food. Eating, first, cooking second, cleaning a definite last. I could do without the cleaning from the prep work and the mound of dishes created after a meal. But, that’s a whole other blog in and of itself. Whenever we plan a family trip, and especially when my husband and I go on a couple’s trip, it’s based around what we want to eat, or which restaurants we want to visit. Hubby and I did a trip to Austin one summer just to eat BBQ. The trip to Rome was for pasta, Tokyo was for ramen and sushi, and in Paris, we gorged on treats from all the beautiful patisseries. The two best meals of my life were at Taillevent and Joel Robuchon in Paris. All of these places and restaurants sound familiar? :) NYC is our favorite city (and yes, Emily’s favorite city as well) for dining. But… I digress.Even with the crazy schedule, I hope to keep writing. Indelible Love - Emily's Story and Indelible Love - Jake's Story were my first two attempts at writing. Entwined, my third novel, as well as Indelible Lovin' - Max & Jane's Story Vol. 1 & 2 have also been self-published on Amazon, Smashwords, iBooks, Nook, and Kobo. I am currently working on another story titled, Unlikely Attraction, as well as a new Indelible Lovin' blog. This can be read for free on my website every Monday and Thursday starting Dec. 2013.Thank you for taking an interest in my writing and I am truly humbled and grateful for the outpouring of love Indelible Love has received. Check back for updates on my writings, travels, and everything Reid/Taylor/Davis.DW

I love this series! Easy reads, sometimes a bit cheesey, but super cute stories. I enjoy that each book is written through the other person's eyes. Can not wait until fhe next book comes out in feb, and i hope she continues to write...i see a few new charecters in the Reid family sagga! I reccomend them to anyone who just likes to sit, relax, and just enjoy a story...not to think too hard!

    The man's point of view

This was a wonderful follow-up to The first in the series Emily's story in Indelible Love. Neat approach having the man's point of view of the things that occurred as Emily and Jake built their relationship. The misunderstandings, the frustrations and finally it all comes together for this couple. I have plan to read the entire series.

Love this series. I will continue to follow the characters as long as the author keeps publishing! I actually read this book, and then went back and re-read it while going back and forth between Emily's Book and Jake's Book......so I got both perspectives of the situations they encountered as they occurred. I'm hooked.

I read Emily's story and I loved it. I loved that the author also wrote Jake's story from his point of view. I kind of hated him through most of the book though because he was an idiot for leaving Emily like that and breaking her heart . I'm glad he came through in the end for her. Can't  wait to read Max and Jane's story. I love this series so far.

    As good as Emily's Story

I wasn't sure I wanted to read a book that was the same book but from the others perspective but it is completely worth it. I nearly wanted to read Emily's Story again to remember how she felt when Jake was doing something. DW Cee is one of my new favorite authors.
