Meet the Author

I started writing back in Dec of 2009 after I saw an interview with Stephenie Meyers. She told Oprah that she always had stories in her head and that struck a chord with me. Whenever I drive, I have all kinds of stories circulating in my mind. Generally, I am the star of this story and many wacky things happen. Of course, I make the story quite complimentary and beneficial to me. I guess you could say Meyers channeled my head case into a novel. I am first a wife and a mother, as well as a restauranteur and a caterer. Writing is my last profession and a late-found one. I have a B.A. and an M.Ed from UCLA (yes, just like Emily from Indelible Love) and taught 1st grade for four years till I had my first child, a son. Two years later, I had my daughter and the two kids ran my life till they both started school. My husband and I opened a restaurant in LA when we first got married and have been in the food service industry for almost 17 years. I think I’ve always been a foodie at heart and though it sounds strange, loving food did not have anything to do with opening up a restaurant. That was all my husband’s idea. I didn’t even know I could cook till I got married. And then I discovered, I love cooking! I love everything related to food. Eating, first, cooking second, cleaning a definite last. I could do without the cleaning from the prep work and the mound of dishes created after a meal. But, that’s a whole other blog in and of itself. Whenever we plan a family trip, and especially when my husband and I go on a couple’s trip, it’s based around what we want to eat, or which restaurants we want to visit. Hubby and I did a trip to Austin one summer just to eat BBQ. The trip to Rome was for pasta, Tokyo was for ramen and sushi, and in Paris, we gorged on treats from all the beautiful patisseries. The two best meals of my life were at Taillevent and Joel Robuchon in Paris. All of these places and restaurants sound familiar? :) NYC is our favorite city (and yes, Emily’s favorite city as well) for dining. But… I digress. Even with the crazy schedule, I hope to keep writing. Indelible Love - Emily's Story and Indelible Love - Jake's Story were my first two attempts at writing. Entwined, my third novel, as well as Indelible Lovin' - Max & Jane's Story Vol. 1 & 2 have also been self-published on Amazon, Smashwords, iBooks, Nook, and Kobo. I am currently working on another story titled, Unlikely Attraction, as well as a new Indelible Lovin' blog. This can be read for free on my website every Monday and Thursday starting Dec. 2013. Thank you for taking an interest in my writing and I am truly humbled and grateful for the outpouring of love Indelible Love has received. Check back for updates on my writings, travels, and everything Reid/Taylor/Davis. DW

    It's Not Worth It

Im pretty sure the author wrote a third of the things in this book to make it longer. Emily was extremely unneccesary nd Jake waa such a pushover its sad. Jake deserved way netter than her, because Emily was so selfish through the 900+ page novel and it was so upsetting. Don't read this. It has so much potential, but just failed miserably. The only redeeming quality that i can think of is that this was a clean romance. Thats it.

    Beautiful

This was the best stories ive ever read. I truely feel in love
with the amazing characters and cried along to their struggles. As a young writer I can only hope that one day I will get to live up to thoose heights. For a second I almost stopped reading it when the climax was almost to much to bare but I held on to the boat along the rough seas and I can tell you one thing when you read this you'll see the sunset at the end.

    Heart warming story

So nice to read a contemporary romance with a BEAUTIFUL 24 year old woman with her virtue intact!!! And for a 30yr old man to be able to honor her wishes. The love and caring between these two people, plus family and friends was truly heart-warming. Enjoyed all the travel and food descriptions...am so envious of their experiences!!

Immature story line & writing style. Would not have bothered finishing if it wasn't an e-book

    cut out 1/3rd of it!

Lagged horribly. I was hoping for a fiery car crash by the end of the story.

    Contrived ...

It's almost like it's too long ... too drawn out ... to easy to discern. Not the best story ...

Gosh this is horrible...the character is unlikeable and immature

Gosh this is horrible...the character is unlikeable and immature. The writing style is extremely poor. Its beyond frustrating to watch how stupid this character is. Her innocence doesn't bother me, but you can't get mad at a man for not contacting you when you write letters with no return address...UGH!! Major potential but I couldn't do it. I can't imagine reading another book in this series...especially since you're putting the sister together with the ex..also what best friend puts her bff at the table with her ex without her knowledge? That's just snarky and mean!! Lastly, the food descriptions are abysmal. Really? What are you talking about, and really how does this character stuff her self on ramen, macaroons, and 9 course meals and not gain weight but lose is. Are you sure she she's not sick?

    333 pages

I read the reviews first. A lot of them said this book has 700 to 1000 pages. What a descrepancy, but a fantastic length, I thought. This was my first disappointment, as it only has 333 pages and a lot of them are info pages about nothing. Speaking of nothing, this book is terrible. I had already filled all the spaces on my ten worst books of 2014. So, this book bumped a book off it. I placed it at number six. Yes, it is that bad. It is so incredibly boring, I would have broken off the author's fingers, so she could never write such drivel again, if she had been near by. The style of writing is so irritating, I can only compare it to posion oak on the private regions. The grammer and editing suck. It is the same thing over and over. This is a chick lit, romance, but it is more of a whine fest with unremarkable, whiney, vindictive, unlikable characters. A sixth grader could write a better book with more style, better editing and grammer, mystery, action and maturity. For ages 18 and up. Not recommended.

    eh

i wish the book wasnt as long as it is but i enjoyed it alot but there were some things that bothered me like Emily's best friend placing her ex in the same table. It also bothered me when Emily got upset bc Jake woulnt answer her letters i mean come on you didnt put a return address. I think 1/3 of the book was just the author wanting to write a 900+ page book and i think that caused the reader to somehow create a emotional attachtment to the book and throughout it fall apart over and over again. this book was good, but it lagged alot and it was repeating.

Sad, tearful and elating story of true love

What is wrong: too much background, trim it down. I skipped a lot because I was intrigued.

What is right: great characters, very emotional, grief, emphathy, incredible sadness and happiness, devastating abandonment, virtue, very descriptive foodie, descriptions of great world travel and wishes granted. Perfect??? no, but absolutely worth reading.

    Amazing story!

I truly fell in love with this book. The story line was typical for sure, but, the author really gave it character. I could feel the sadness and pain in Emily's heartbreak. I could feel th love and happiness when her and Jake finally reunite. I love how this is the first clean romance I've read in a long time that didn't seem childish! I reccommend this 233 page novel. I plan to read Jake's story soon!
