Meet the Author

Catherine Anderson lives in the Oregon mountains with her husband and her Rottweilers, Sam and Sassy, who seem convinced that they are teacup poodles and that obedience training is for people. Catherine spends leisure time with her family and friends, including her sons and daughter-in-law, often discussing intriguing story twists for her books. Such talks can draw curious stares if they happen to take place in a restaurant and involve plotting the demise of a fictitious villain.

An award-winning author of twenty published works, Catherine is currently working on her next full-length romance for Onyx.

    Indigo Blue

I am a lover of all things Catherine Anderson and I have nearly all of the books she has written. This is a wonderful al beit sad story of the clash between races and cultures. It plays with all emotions in that it is sad, happy, scary and depicts life as it was and plays deeply on emotions of truth, fear, love, and the innocent... Indigo Blue is the daughter of a white mother (Loretta) and a haf breed Cherokee who was raised by the indians (Hunter Wolf) A mining accident (?) has left Hunter badly injured and Indigo is trying to run the mine and do chores for him while he recovers.. Enter Jake Rand who is supposed to buy the mine but who fears his father is causing the accidents in order to take it over ... Jake and Indigo are stranded overnight and because of it wind up married.. The story continues to a happy conclusion but it sure has it's moments getting there... CA weaves a clever story and the book is hard to put down once you get into it... I am an avid reader and I strongly recommend this book...

    Highly Recommended

After you have been thoroughly absorbed in Book 1 of the Series, Comanche Moon, and Book 2 Comanche Heart, there will be no doubt in your mind that you would read the next of the series, Indigo Blue. Ms Anderson keeps you well into this part of the story too. How everything just flows is just wonderful...you're inner feelings are left out in the open. Seeing how the peoples of this time of U. S. expansion have progressed is marvelous. I couldn't wait to order the next of the Comanche series......still tracing the families as they grew from Book 1.

The story of Hunter and Loretta's daughter, Indigo, and her chance at love. She wants to be independent, run her father's company, and live and dress by Comanche ways. She fights to live in not only a white man's world, but a man's world in general. If you enjoyed Comanche Moon and Comanche Heart, I would recommend Indigo Blue. I enjoyed the continuation of the story. Hunter and Loretta are in this book, but Amy and Swift are not. That was disappointing.

Wow! This a really touching story.

Indigo and Jake what a beautiful love story. I am sure I will read this one a second time. The hint of prejudice makes the tale all the more compelling.

    thumbs down

thought the romance would be better and more believable than the 1st book one, but i was wrong. Jake is nice, but really controlling and overprotective. Indigo is a very unique and special women, but she seems really pathetic when she's married to Jake and just does his bidding, he is now 'the master'. It makes me angry at her parents for teaching her that and the Comanche indians for believing that, though the women were in alot of ways better treated and had more freedom, the belief of men being 'the master' really gets my blood boiling. Though Jake does redeem himself a bit by telling Indigo to speak her mind and not act like a servant, he is my second least favorite main guy that Anderson has created-- the least fav being Hunter from the first book.
