Overview

Indigo Ocean Dreams is a 60 minute CD/audio book designed to entertain your child in an ocean setting while introducing them to four relaxation and stress-management techniques. Children follow their sea friends along as they learn to release and manage anger with Angry Octopus, build self-esteem with Affirmation Weaver, implement breathing with Sea Otter Cove and visualize with Bubble Riding.

Designed as the sequel to Indigo Dreams, this CD offers longer stories and expands on the relaxation techniques of breathing, visualizations, muscular relaxation and affirmations. Ideal for older children ages 6-12, or as step two for those already familiar with Indigo Dreams. Engaging characters present these adult level techniques in an easy to follow format that makes it fun for any child to learn.

The narration is accompanied by calming sounds of dolphins, sea otters and gentle waves. An additional music sound track is included to further enhance your child's relaxation experience. These proven techniques encourage wellness and provide tools for children who suffer from anxiety, stress, trauma, hyperactivity, anger, sleep issues and lack of confidence.

    All Children

Soothing, relaxing and a way for children to learn to deal with their feelings. This has helped my 4 year old with developing anxiety anxiety and anger issues - and it's also a wonderful tool to help a child 'be' -to relax and feel calm in their world. I believe that Lori has found a wonderful way that can help ANY child - with anxiety, with autismn, with any child learning to listen to a story and imagining the characters. The soft ocean sounds and music is a delight - Be carefu1, you may want to snuggle with your little one just to hear the stories yourself and relax. Lori's books are wonderful too and I hope she comes out with more story CD's soon!

    Best Anger Management Story

March 4, 2007 Ocean creatures make this fun. My girls (ages 3 & 5), can relate to the octopus in the first story, stomp and get mad, then get under control. Then I can remind them later to be like the angry octopus and get control of themselves to fix things, instead of just being angry

    Wonderful Series

I bought all 3 of the Indigo Dreams CDs for children. I have 2 daughters who deal with anxiety. My youngest's anxiety was so severe that she ended up in ER with a panic attack, which increased her anxiety even more - it was a horrible cycle. In searching for techniques to help her, I found this CD series. It has been a godsend. She quickly downloaded both of the CDs to her iPod, allowing her to take the relaxation 'on the road' and to choose her favorites from both CDs. She's been using these for almost a month and now her bedtime is so peaceful and easy - no longer does she stew and fret and end up being awake for hours. She is always asleep within minutes. My eldest daughter likes her teen CD as well, though she declared it was 'stupid' before she listened to it. Now she has it on every night. These are great great products!

    Exceptitonal!

The Indigo Dreams series is exceptional: The writing is delightful, the narration gentle and soothing, the music is dreamy and non-intrusive, and the relaxation techniques effective (even on a kid in her 5th decade of life!) Because I create guided meditation CDs for adults, I am extremely familiar with what is in the marketplace. More often than not I'm dissappointed, but I'm happy to say that Indigo Ocean Dreams delighted me. Not only does this CD help the listener to relax, it gently addresses some of the issues that can cause stress (anger, anxiety, poor self esteem, etc.), helping kids to find constructive ways to have more calm in their waking life as well. I'm looking forward to the next CD!

    Indigo Ocean Dreams

I have an eight year old daughter with serious anxiety problems. I bought this CD because my daughter's therapist recommended getting a relaxation CD to listen to. I searched for a Children's version and found this one. My daughter loves it! It helps her to go to sleep. It helps her feel better when she is having a bad day. It helps calm her when she is mad or scared. She is using the techniques on her own when she is unable to listen to the CD or when she needs a quick calming down. It is very kid friendly, and teaches them, in an indirect way, how to calm themselves on their own. At the end of the stories, there is a quieting audio track that is just music and sounds that she really enjoys. I would highly recommend this product for anyone who is looking to teach their child self calming techniques. It is awesome!

    Helping my Child

I am amazed at how this CD has enhanced my child's life. It worked so well with my 10 year old I was inspired to order the 'Indigo Teen Dreams' as well. My rebellious teenager actually gave it a listen and although I am not supposed to know....she is listening every night. So now my 10 year old is listening and my teen. I am a happy mom and know these CDs will help my whole family. The writer just seems to know how to speak to every age group and the narrator's voice is so soothing and relaxing that I confess that I have borrowed both CDs to help me fall asleep and I never last past 2 tracks. I hope she reads this and creates an Adult CD.

    Not for older children!!

The cd is very sweet and I did share it with a parent with a younger child, but it is definitely not appropriate for ages over 8 or 9. My daughter just recently turned 12 so I bought this one and it was really babyish. The age range said 6-12 and I totally disagree.

Another Wonderful CD By Lori Lite!

Both my 8 year old daughter and 11 year old son loved the Indigo Dreams CD so much that when we heard that Lori Lite was coming out with another CD we knew we needed to get it. We were definitely not disappointed! This CD adds more wonderful stories which helps children learn to deal with various emotions. It is narrated by a man which also gives different character to the stories as well and helps to add variety between this and the previous CD. I have in the past tried to show my kids some of these same techniques (deep breathing and meditation) but it was hard for me to put it in a way that would be meaningful to them at their age. These CD's were the answer. They are written and produced with children in mind. Lori Lite's idea of using stories is a brilliant way of making these techniques appealing to children! If you are already familiar with Lori Lite's work you certainly won't be disappointed with this new CD. If you are presently unfamiliar with her work but are looking for a wonderful way to introduce your children to deep breathing, affirmations and relaxation techniques, this CD and the first Indigo Dreams CD is sure to be a welcome guest in your home! Also, for those whose children are in their teens, Lori Lite just released a new CD called Indigo Teen Dreams. If you like the approach of Indigo Ocean Dreams or the first Indigo Dreams CD but wanted something more suitable for a teen, then you will probably love this new addition to Lori Lite's work. HIGHLY recommended!
