Meet the Author

I’m based in Victoria, Australia and I write paranormal / gothic fiction. Indigo is my first novel available online. It was written as a serial fiction, week by week. You can read about the experience of writing this way on my blog. I don’t think it’s for the faint hearted! Indigo is set in Carlton, an old suburb of Melbourne where I used to live. The creepy house she lives in is a real house that I lived in for a while. The rest is entirely made up.

I’ve had a long love affair with learning and writing. I completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Editing and Communications after my MA in Classical Studies (Violence and Imperium in Livy’s First Pentad). I’ve also received a mentorship for Young and Emerging Authors from the Australian Society of Authors (Australia Council funded) and was lucky enough to work with the wonderful story-teller, Sophie Masson. I currently work as a freelance editor, researcher and sometime uni tutor.

Thank you for sharing my imaginary worlds…

For Lovers of Quirky Paranormal Novels.

Indigo and her friends Daryl and Ani become entangled with a murky type of ghosts dubbed followers herein and become involved with a spooky kind of cold case. Smooth, quick read, nicely done.

    an interesting read

This wasn't quite what I was expecting, but it's a good book with a paranormal storyline. I didn't always know where it was headed - the author did a good job.

    Strange but compelling

Very well written. Unusual premise that held my attention to the end. I would recommend it.

    Disappointing

A bit disappointing. I like books where I can really care about the characters. I just couldn't get there with this book. Interesting premise, but it just falls short for me.

Very enjoyable if you appreciate the paranormal ghost story. Well developed characters, tantalizing story line. Long enough. Gave it a 4, only because I found myself going back a few pages at times when I felt slightly confused and thought I had missed something. If it weren't for that, I would've given it a solid five.

Good way to spend an afternoon

This book is fairly short and a very quick read. The fact that it is short means there is too much we don't get to know about characters and situations that we'd like to. That it is a quick read is a tribute to the author's readability and ability to entertain. I very much enjoyed reading this book. It is original and interesting, though I'm not sure I'd like to read another about these characters - their torment in this book is enough for a few books worth with more detail. It would be interesting, however, to see more of this world.
