“Using wit and romance with a master’s skill, Kasey Michaels aims for the heart and never misses.” -- Nora Roberts

“There is so much wit and wisdom in the pages of INDISCREET that you’ll be filled with wonder, and giggling all the while. Kasey Michaels returns with all the hallmarks that have made her a Regency romance treasure: humor, unforgettable characters and a take on the era few others possess. Sheer reading pleasure!” -- RT Book Reviews; Nominated for Best Innovative Historical Romance, 1998

A Note from Kasey:

“In 1998 I was so ready to write another Regency historical, INDISCREET fairly flew from my fingertips onto the computer screen. And I had a ball! I had been so engrossed in history and wanted a break from more serious topics, so I wrote myself a romantic farce (I always write for me, what makes me happy at the time, figuring if I like it maybe someone else will, too).

INDISCREET has, according to reviewers and readers, one of the funniest Prologues in fiction. Even I still giggle a bit when I think of it!

But there’s a serious side to this romantic farce; two people who think they know who they are, what they want ... and then get smacked in the face with the realization life doesn’t always fit into neat little boxes.

As I said, I had a grand time writing INDISCREET, and revisiting the book to prepare it for its e-book version delighted me all over again. It’s a good rainy-day-and-I-feel-blah-and-need-to-laugh book. Enjoy!”

Fondly,
Kasey

Editorial Reviews

. - The Romance Reader
“All other authors who are attempting to write humorous Regency historicals should read INDISCREET to see how it ought to be done.”
.. - Mrs. Giggles
“INDISCREET not just tickles me pink at so many instances, but it also presents a satisfying love story between two very adorable and well-developed characters that are a little different from the usual generic template characters populating the genre. It manages to balance humor with hard-hitting emotional drama, making this a very satisfying Regency-era romantic comedy.”

Meet the Author

Kasey Michaels began her career scribbling her stories on yellow legal pads while the family slept. She totally denies she chiseled them into flat rocks, but yes, she began her career a long time ago. Now Kasey is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of more than 110 books (she doesn't count them). Kasey has received four coveted Starred Reviews from Publishers Weekly, three for historical romance, The Secrets of the Heart, The Butler Did It, and The Taming of the Rake, and a fourth for the contemporary romance Love To Love You Baby (that shows diversity, you see). She is a recipient of the RITA, a Waldenbooks and Bookrak Bestseller award, and many awards from Romantic Times magazine, including a Career Achievement award for her Regency era historical romances. Too contrived to be amusing

The story was too contrived to be amusing & the characters a bit distasteful; Also, she needs to be more knowledgable about the word phrases & the mores of that tme period
