    A true winner

Bill Watterson has a magical touch in developing the loveable charcters of Calvin and his pet tiger Hobbes. In this installment you follow many shorts of Calvin's mischief with Hobbes in tow! Truly one of my favorite in the series, "Indispensable" will leave you with the need to follow them through to the end of the comic strip.

    I Also Recommend:

I've collected every available Calvin & Hobbs book. And given many as gifts for kids ages 11 to 21...Is suitable and enjoyed by any age, I think.

Calvin and his stuffed tiger, Hobbs, brings us into his world. Calvin knows his world is ultimately controlled by adults, (his parents & teachers) but these comics are special because he knows these adults cannot control his very vivid (sometimes dangerous!) imagination. The vocabulary and illustrations are amazing. Thank you, Bill Watterson!

    C & H

I love Calvin and Hobbes. Calvin is the smarter, more cunning of the 2, and Hobbes just wants a belly rub and a sandwich. I think Calvin is dangerous and Hobbes just plays along or argues with Calvin, usually ending in fights. I have almost every book in the collection.

    Timeless

Bill Watterson's sense of humor and characters are proving to be timeless and relavant 15 years after his retirement and a decade into this new millenium. I enjoy reading and rereading this book to my 6 year old son who relates wonderfully to Calvin.

    Great comic!

These are (in my opinion) one of the greatest comics ever made! Calvin is a brat of a child who acts smart but he is still just a little kid and hobbes is a stuffed tiger who calvin pretends is real. It is one of those comics you would see in the paper a long time ago. I like it more than Garfield.

Calvin and Hobbes is always a great diversion!

Up to the usual pranks and exploration, Calvin and Hobbes is a fun read both for kids thinking about doing the actions as well as adults remembering when they wete done.

Cartoon book? Really, who reads this poop?

Only EXTREMELY immature people read this, as far as I know. Sure, it may give you ONE laugh out of the who book, but that's all it's good for. ONE STUPID LAUGH! I say, never read this. It is SO dumb!
