Troy Grice has been a student of economics and a libertarian activist since his twenties. A fan of dystopian novels and science fiction, he describes his own writing as anti-propaganda and counter-myth. He enjoys throwing jabs at both the corrupt establishment and the semi-lucid masses that enable them. For Troy, no manmade institution is beyond reproach. He earned a BA in Economics and has almost twenty years experience in corporate finance. When not working or agitating for the restoration of the republic, Troy spends time at home with his family in the foothills of Evergreen, Colorado.

Triggered by a Japanese liquidity crisis, a global run on U.S. Treasuries overwhelms the Federal Reserve and collapses the dollar. Mass inflation sparks civil unrest and panic as store shelves are cleaned out, gas prices rise tenfold, and Americans' life savings are wiped out. Desperate to maintain control, the federal government grows increasingly totalitarian. The president orders the Army home in an attempt to restore law and order, but the Army's battle-hardened attitude and heavy-handed tactics only manage to spur the rebellion on.
The lives of a tormented soldier, a tyrannical sheriff, a vain diplomat and a desperate father converge amidst the chaos of total economic collapse and civil war in contemporary America.

I had never heard of this author and was a little trepidatious about spending money on an "upstart". That said, I purchased this book from Prepper Press based on the publisher's previous successes (in my mind) with the 299 Days series. This book wss enjoyable. The characters' lives were interwoven and came together well at the end. There were some typographical errors that should have been caught by the editor, but they were few & far between. I will be purchasing the sequel when published.
I liked it wish he hard more books out
