There are hundreds, if not thousands, of new thought books to instruct us on how to create a more wonderful life. Never before has a book made all of the instructions so easy to understand and to put into practice. Mike Dooley has an enormous gift to speak in everyday language that everyone and anyone can understand.
Mr. Dooley's tremendously popular Notes From the Universe, and his previous publications have all laid the perfect groundwork for this book, which sums it all up and gives the reader clear, concise and direct instructions to move every part of one's life to a better, richer, happier place.
I have either given gift copies or recommended this book to everyone I know and I'm grateful to have the possibility to pass along my upmost recommendation to anyone reading this review.
You can change your life and have all the things you dream of. And it's easy and doesn't cost a thing.
If the thought of having everything you want appeals to you, do yourself the best possible thing you can do for yourself. Purchase Infinite Possibilities. Read it, practice the principles and directions, then sit back and watch how perfectly wonderful it is when you let the Universe give you everything you want.
I love this book. You will, too!

Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.I just love reading books about the law of attraction, so I grabbed Infinite Possibilities by Mike Dooley. This book is based on Dooley's highly successful audio tapes, published in 2001.
I found this book to be engaging, thoughtful and entertaining. Dooley knows the subject of the law of attraction very well.
According to Dooley, the book is about "learning of your power and responsibilities." It is also about understanding our divine powers.
The key is to learn how to train our thinking to direct our experience, something Dooley assures us that we are capable of doing, as humans are infinite and powerful "fun-loving gladiators of the universe." In other words, we have been around forever, in a different form, in the universe. As gladiators, we created our human form. We are connected to God because God lives within us and throughout the universe.
Change comes from our imagination (infinite and powerful!), our beliefs and expectations. "There is nothing you can't do, nothing you can't have, nothing you can't be," according to Dooley. How we think creates our world and our feelings and emotions can make our dreams a reality. When you desire something, picture the end result very clearly--be specific.
When we want a particular outcome--a job, romance, etc.--we should act as if it already has occurred. If you are seeking a partner, buy 2 tickets for an event, for example. Plan as if it has already occurred.
In the tools and techniques chapter, Dooley recommends visualization, vision boards, scrap books and meditation, among a few other things. All good stuff. As I mentioned, I have read numerous books on the law of attraction. I have also studied with a spiritual teacher for years--so I already comprehend the principles about the universe. But, they can be tough to "get." I recommend learning how to dowse to get the feel of the interconnectedness each of us has with the universe. I also suggest Feng Shui to help manifest desires. Harmonious Environment: Beautify, Detoxify & Energize Your Life, Your Home & Your Planet will show you how to do both. Feng Shui Tips for a Better Life is also good for F.S.
There is also a question and answer chapter on frequently asked questions. I love how he writes, act like life is "easy and fun and knowable and it becomes that."
The book concludes with a pep talk on appreciating self as the unique being each and every one of us is.
Highly recommend!

In search of the next chapter in life, over the last couple years I've read over 20 books, taken a half a dozen assessment tests and hired a couple professional coaches. Still the picture was fuzzy, unsettled and lacking in direction. Infinite Possibilites, however, finally provided a positive and enlightening message that the universe has a plan for all of us. It's an inspiring book for anyone searching for their dreams and a book I've already recommended to a number of friends.

Living in the Now
© M. Williams
Feb 7, 2001
As human beings, we tend to waste our consciousness by living outside the present. In the run of the day, our thoughts are so often fixed upon either the past or the future, that the mind registers only a minimal amount of what is taking place in the 'now'. As a result of this tendency to function on autopilot, much of the wonder and beauty of life passes us by unnoticed. When we take the bus, for instance, we are more likely to spend the trip thinking about our destination than appreciating the passing scenery, even though we are gazing out the window. And how often do we find ourselves replaying the events of the day at the dinner table, mulling over 'what-ifs' and 'should-have-saids' as we chew and swallow our food absent mindedly? In fact, most of us are so intent on looking either forward or backward at life that we go through much of it as if in a dream, with a limited awareness of present reality.
When we were children we experienced life to the fullest. Providing our needs were met, we had little reason to concern ourselves overmuch with the past or worry about our future, and we experienced the fresh edge of wonder at each new discovery of our world. We existed in the present. As we grow into adults, however, that feeling of awe diminishes because we become caught up in the effort of survival and the demands of time. We spend at least eight hours of every day at some form of employment. When we are not thus employed, we must concern ourselves with other necessities-after-hour appointments, social commitments, the demands of children and spouses-and we increasingly engage the autopilot, which allows us to physically function while we mentally jump ahead to the next task. After a while, this becomes a habitual mode of existence, and our awareness of the world around us narrows because we are rarely fully present in the moment. In effect, we begin to function like sleep walkers in our waking life.
How do we break free from this habitual mode of functioning? How do we regain that sense of newness that will expand our minds and awaken us from the dream? We do it with intent. That is, we must exercise the full power of our human will to become mindful of every action that we undertake. We must constantly remind ourselves to pay close attention to our actions-to relish the sensation of chewing and tasting our food, for example, to feel our hands on the steering wheel and revel in the synchronistic movements of changing gears. Even the simplest gesture-smiling, shaking hands, looking at our watches-must be undertaken with the mind fully focused on the task if we are to awaken to our own existence in the now. This is no mean feat. The habit of living in the past and/or jumping into the future inside our own heads is a difficult one to break. Once we have allowed the consciousness to fall into a state of disuse, it requires a good deal of effort to regain its focus, but the will becomes stronger the more it is utilized, and if we persevere, the rewards will be well worth the effort as our consciousness expands.

I've been following Mike Dooley since the Secret first hit print. I have a basic
understanding of the concept of The Law of Attraction and visualization techniques. Mike brings human behavior to the for front and offers us a new way to look at our life journey and how our beliefs could bring road blocks into our everyday lives. Changing our belief patterns, coupled with working with the Laws of The Universe we can see how our life can be improved by just "understanding" the mechanisms by which our beliefs influence our life. This book can be for anyone who is on the path to improving the quality of their future, no matter what your goals. "Change your Thoughts, Change your Life" couldn't speak more true and this book shows us how and tells us why. A must read for anyone who wants to change for the better.

Inspiring, motivating, full of energy, captivating, good-for-you, take-your-life-in-your-own-hands book. This book will help lift you up if you're feeling down. Now, if we could just believe and "just do it" we would change our lives so much. The author offers his own life experiences as very convincing example.

Mike Dooley's small but significant bit in The Secret DVD had the same message as the other authors/teachers, but his compelling 3-word instruction to getting what we want is what led me to look him up, "Thoughts Become Things."
Infinite Possibilities is his latest work and I have read it three times over, gave my copy to my sister for Christmas and bought another for myself. I will not hesitate to do the same process if only to share the very important and very useful information it offers, to friends and family who show interest. After reading authors such as Eckhart Tolle, Joseph Campbell and Abraham-Hicks, Mike Dooley's Infinite Possibilities is a breath of fresh air. It is contemporary and written in a language so accessible. Mike Dooley has made manifesting elementary; he includes tools, exercises and personal experiences to which everyone can relate. This has become my go-to book, a manual to refer to whenever I stray from the practice of living the life of my dreams. His user-friendly website is great supplement. Sign up to tut.com to get his daily Notes from the Universe.

Of all of the self help gurus I've read, Mike is the only one who makes practical sense and doesn't come off as just a marketer trying to sell another product. Mike's concept of harnessing rather than opposing the Universe is a made logical and practiceable throughout his pages, making this book compelling and a joy to read. What he teaches, for most of us, is a paradigm shift in how we perceive ourselves and our external environment, with an emphasis on how we control our destiny or otherwise limit our outcomes through our thoughts. His simple adage that thoughts become things belies the depth of thought and advice that Mike put into this work.
The only critque I can offer, would be if Mike were to use more real life examples to illustrate his points, but that aside, this book has been well worth the time I have available to read such material. I highly recommend this book to anyone seeking to make changes in their lives through Mike's fundamental concepts.

I enjoy & love Notes From the Universe on audio. If a person wants accurate, quick, easy information on the process of attracting desires, with lots of emphasis on utilizing visualization, this book, Infinite Possibilities, could be helpful. The basic information regarding "thoughts become things" is a reiteration of many of the great writers: Joseph Murphy, Neville Goddard, Ernest Holmes, Wm Walker Atkinson, Raymond Charles Barker, Genevieve Behrend, etc. However, his writing style allows a person to grasp the information easily.
