    Soul Stirring and Emotional

This book has a lot of heart: heart wrenching, heart stopping, heart pounding, heart warming, heart breaking.

I bought this book at the author's first speaking engagement. Kennesaw is a down to earth, normal guy with a humor and wit that tempers the horror revealed in this book. Engaging and raw, the story will make you cry, laugh, wince and most importantly, THINK.

First, I would like to commend the author for giving resources to report child abuse and ways to help victims of child abuse at the end of the book. This rather Dickensian tale contained many philosophical truths. It definitely had my interest from beginning to end. My only gripes with it were that I really don't want to hear about the sexual fantasies of a child, and the editing was horrid. Really, could I become a proofreader for Nook Books? I know I could proofread better than whoever does it for this guy. Really, Navel instead of Naval? That's just one example. Still, a good value at 99c.

    Very good memoir

This novel is written from a unique perspective. Growing up without much formal education, the author gives you a very real perspective of his life growing up. This novel is a fast read with details that are strong and vivid without being unbearable. A true story of overcoming awful circumstances.
