With equal parts determination and trepidation, Tara Calloway risks more than her heart to carry a vital message to her long-ago would-be lover, both hopeful and fearful of the reception that awaits her. She needs to keep it strictly business between them, for everyone's sake, but Joe Corbett seizes this chance to carry out the explicit sexual threats-promises?-depicted in the letter he wrote her six years ago in a paroxysm of heat and anger.

And she has no intention of stopping him.

Informed Consent is one of the Ellora’s Cave Quickies, meaning you can read it in an hour or less. The good thing about these quickie reads is that they pack a punch in the heat department.

Tara is what some might call a tough cookie. She’s determined to get what she wants, even if it means having rough sex with a handsome man. One she’s lusted after for years. (It’s so tough being a tough cookie…)

Joe is also determined, though his determination seems a bit on the weak scale compared to Tara’s. He talks a good game but when it comes down to it, he’s just not as ballsy as the first image we have of him. However, this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It makes him human. And, dare I say it, romantic. *sigh*

For a quick read, Informed Consent will get your blood (and libido) racing. It’s a well-written story and I’m looking forward to reading more from this author.
