    Great Deal - Highly Recommended

This is exactly what I wanted and it was a great deal to boot. The corners of the cardboard "box" that holds the book had slight damage to the corners when I received it but nothing that putting it on a bookshelf won't hide. Overall I am very satisfied with this purchase.

Fabulous series for the young and old.

I first started reading this series as a teenager and was immediately drawn into Paolini's world of dragons, magic, elves, and dwarves. As I reread this series years later, I was very impressed with Paolini's writing and creativity that appeals even to adults. The emotion and vivid description in this book is incredible, and I am anxiously awaiting the final book.

Highly recommended for children who are avid readers!

My daughter kept checking these books out from the library at her school, repeatedly. She would finish the series, and immediately begin reading Book One, Eragon, again. Finally she asked for her own set. She loves them very well - highlighting, notes, dog-ears.

She is completely captivated by the magic, mythical creatures, and engaging mystery & action. She also identifies with the main character and his search for his own Truth. One particular passage she has outlined and referenced multiple times is in the third book when Eragon is questioning which religion he should join. He wonders if there are parts and pieces of truth in every religion and if it's up to the seeker to identify this truth, and then ultimately decide for himself.

I give the author kudos for his skilled writing of an epic adventure that captivates and enthralls children, while weaving in large concepts to motivate his readers to think for themselves.

    So bad it's good

Although the majority of moments in this series are just painful, there are a few that are clumsy enough to bring enjoyment to the fans of 'so bad it's good' movies. Also recommended to writers as a guide that touches upon everything to avoi whilst writing.
