I have read the first three books that Chris wrote and have been searching for the fourth book for four years now,and until I finally got my laptop did not know even when to expect it till today!I can hardly wait to get it cause I have read the others several times and when I read a book I feel as if I'm actually there,I can hardly wait for my next vacation to Alagasia and to visit with Sapphira again! I have really missed her and Eragon terribly!I wish you would write more about them,it's a wonderful fantasy to lose yourself in! I highly recommend these books for any and all ages to enjoy>You only have to have an imagination to feel the true meaning of FANTASY'S!!! I would read whatever he wrote about cause like Harry Potter Books you really don't know what's gonna happen next! Keep them coming Chris!

This series brings out a since of fantasy not seen since the lord of the rings.
It brings out new since of magic and feeling of the new generation of story telling. But also showing us that if we imagine of a magical land this is where we end up.
For me personally it has inspired me to write my own books for the elves , dragons, magical creatures and wonderfully designed characters of these books.
So all in I sum it up as one of the best written books so far of the 21st century .

All i can say is i do not like to read, but when i started on the first book i could not stop reading tell i finished the last book. Can,t wait for the next book or series he writes.

This is my favorite book series! I have read several series: Twilight, Vampire Diaries, Pretty Little Liars, Hush Hush, Hunger Games, you name it. This is by far, the BEST series ever!!!! Great Christmas Gift for any fiction lover!!!

My son needed Eragon and the Eldest for his reading class. I decided to buy the set and it was the best thing I did. It is a 4-hardcover book set and he loved it. I recommend the set to everyone. Happy reading.

the best books i have ever read i dont care if your blind and nerve dead you have to read these books, in fact you dont even have a say in it go out buy them read them and then read them again and then maybe you will have a sy in it, maybe.

A brilliant and captivating series. Christopher Paolini's rich descriptions practically place you in the book in the midst of the action! I can hardly wait to see what else this creative author's imagination dreams up!

I did not expect to like it, considering that it was recommended by my boyfriend who is not much of a reader, but I immediately fell in love with Eragon and Saphira. If it were not for him, I probably would not have found this series, at least not for a long time. When I have children of my own, I intend to pass this read on to them. I would recommend this series to ANYONE in earshot. If you're considering this, get it, even if you do not fall into the 12-17 years age range.
