    Much Better

I was very hesitant to read the second installment of this series because I thought the first book had a lot of faults. I am glad that I read the second book because it was significantly better then the first and I actually found the story line and characters much more concrete. I really enjoyed this book and just bought the third and final book. To all of those doubting this series based on the first book, I highly recommend giving the series a second chance by reading Inherited Danger.

    Awesome!

Looking for something good to read. This trilogy is the thing. I really enjoyed the books. Well written and unpredictable. A bit of scifi and adventure.

    Much better

The second book of this series is excellent. The writting style and character developement improved drastically from the first book. I also found the underlying meanings in much of what was written to be interesting and helped keep my attention.

Wish I could go 2.5 stars

I tried the first book because I am always on the lookout for a new fantasy author to read, I purchased the second because I did enjoy the concepts enough in the first book that I wanted to compensate the author. Unfortunately I just can' t bring myself to waste the time on reading the rest of the trilogy. There is a good core story but like a skeleton without tendons, muscle and skin, the core storyline just isn' t sufficient to capture the imagination and bring the reader into the story. The first two books rate a solid "A" as a concept paper, but sadly only a "C" as a finished novel...

    Decent series.

This is a good sequel. I found this one to flow better than the first book, The Call Of The Herald. The story really begins to come together, things are explained, and you begin to understand the characters motivations much better. The two main characters are well developed, although the supporting cast seems to be somewhat weak still. A book that should be checked out, even if you werent really a fan of the first. The story gets better and you will want to pick up the third and last in the series to see how it ends.

    I like potatoes

Slinkeys make good telescopes, pie makes a good hat, and garlic makes a good air freshener...................that pretty much describes this book

    Good series

The second book's writing is much more clear and easy to visualize. Too bad the next ones cost more. I'll need to make them last longer.
