Against her mother’s wishes and her own reservations, Eve Inez marries Los Angeles Leopard’s superstar wide receiver, Chase Landon, and finds herself in a close-knit circle of friends who are also married to elite athletes.
Each of the wives soon discover their lives aren’t all glitz and glam, and that with wealth and fame there’s always a price to pay. It’s a regular battle of the sexes and Eve quickly realizes her circle needs protection against the everyday drama that keeps coming their way – prenups, baby mamas, scandals, cheating and worst of all, gossip.
In answer, Eve encourages the wives to band together to form The Wives Association. No athlete, no matter how rich, pampered or devious, is going to get one over on her girls – that is, until she herself is confronted with one terrible truth that strikes much closer to home than she could ever have imagined.
Inner Circle is a jaw-dropping peek into the lives of a group of women married to professional athletes. This gripping page-turner will make it impossible for readers to determine where real life ends and fiction begins and is sure to have every reader salivating for more.

Inner Circle is a nice effort! I enjoyed the drama-filled nature of the book, but I can't say I'm surprised that the book was written very poorly. There are more errors than I can count, poor grammar, and basic language usage. As a sophomore at TCU I can assure you it's definitely not college level reading, maybe middle school at best. The characters "Eve" and "Chase" are of course modeled on Evelyn and Chad Ochocinco. There are a lot of fabrications in there as well to bring a more fictional perspective, including Eve's 6 month rule etc. This book would've been at least a 4 for me if the characters weren't so predictable, Eve is a loud mouth who likes to "pop off" and encourages fighting, exactly like the author Evelyn Lozada. Personally, I won't be reading the next in the series unless there's some better writing. However, I do applaud Evelyn because this book is making a lot of young girls who otherwise wouldn't know where a Barnes and Noble was even located to pick up a book and actually read something on their level!

Great read. If you're not a fan, it's really simple, don't read the book. If you are looking for fine literature, don't read the book. If you just want something quick and entertaining, go ahead and read it. But please do not bring your negativity here.

Poorly crafted and written. What esle would you expect from someone with such a limited vocabulary? Eve lives out her aspirations and goals she did not reach as the lead of the story. Very basic, boring and dull.

I couldnt help but to associate Ev and Ocho , as well as personalities in the book to cast members on BBW. Like Jackie to Tami. But overall this book lived up to its hype! SO JUICY! I literally couldnt put it down. Read it all in ONE NIGHT! I stayed up all night and just finished it at 10am this morning. Well done Evelyn. I cant WAIT for book #2.

For this to be her first book I think she did a good job. I wouldn't say it was great because I have read better. People that say that it's great are people that don't really read. This probably is the first book they have read in a while, so they don't know great. I did enjoy reading the book though. One big problems that I did have is that there are grammer problems, and I'm not the best at grammer. So that must tell you something. All in all it was okay though. I don't see myself buying other books by her though. I do wish her the best of luck in all she does!!!! I am glad to see African American's reading though, which is one thing her book has accomplished.

This book sucked, it was written by someone else. Full of poorly written trash, but what do you expect from a book by evelyn who rats out her friends and jumps on tables.

I only read the sample and knew from the gate it was a rendention og Evelyn and Chad. How creative is that! Really??!! The main character Eve is supposed to be a big time elite college educatec paralegal working at a law firm. However, the attitude and grammer sounds "hood ratish" to me. Between the description of the designer clothes' bags and shoes, it would be come redundant and would remind me too much of the show. The Table of Content has a lot to be desired. All of Evelyn's hood lines. Applaude her efforts but if it weren't for the BBW fame who would really buy her book. Terry McMillian she is not or will ever be. Just the opinion of an avid book reader. Not my taste. I will go back to what i was reading.

Ev, my family is blaming you for my recent acts of neglecting them while I was reading your book. However, since I couldn't put it down, they were only neglected for a couple of days. Very entertainging, intriguing, and I loved the drama. I am anxiously waiting for the next one....YOU GO GIRL!!!

I really enjoyed this book. It fits in along with many other nonfiction black authors' books. It contained unexpected twists & turns to make it not as predictable.
