After a harrowing first year at Easton Academy that included blackmail and murder, Reed Brennan returns for his second year of school hoping that this year will be uneventful. She has hardly settled into the exclusive dormitory named Billings before she begins a face-off with Cheyenne Martin, who dislikes the new rules that specify that they can no longer hold initiations for the dorm. While Reed supports the new girls the administration has chosen for Billings, she never dreams how far Cheyenne will go to get her own way. While Reed's mission is admirable, her motives are never made clear. Why is she so determined to oppose Cheyenne? Based on the earlier year's events, one expects more sinister and exciting things to happen, but the ending falls rather flat. Reed's voice is problematic; the story is told in first person, yet Reed talks more like a forty-year-old woman than a teenage girl through most of the books. You will never go back

When i first saw dis series i thought it would make meh fall asleep but when i read tha first book i was lik omg! If u hate romance and drama u shouldnt read it but i still think u would luv it. Trust meh if u read tha first book u would never feel tha some.:)

Highly Recommended

All these books have major twists and keep you interested through out the whole book! I found this book one of the best because there is a major twist that I am not going to spoil for you!!!!

Inner Circle

Another great book in the series! I was wondering how they would continue the series, without Noelle, Taylor, Kiran, and Ariana but I think Brian did a good job. There is a new queen bee, Cheyenne. And there is more drama, plotting, and boy problems in this novel. I love how I never know what's going to happen and all of the little twists make it interesting. There is a big cliff hanger at the end of this one too and I can't wait to find out what happens next!

Amazing as Always

At first, I thought this one was totally predictable, but like the great author she is, Kate Brian threw in a twist. Definitely one of the best of the series. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time I was reading. Everything is described so well, I would feel like Reed sometimes.

reed was so lucky last year, but now what's she supposed ytop do w/ noelle gone. i cant beleive how much i loved this book. it took me 4 hr 2 read the entire book.

A refreshing start

A great way to start her brand new Junior year, with downlow Drama. Reed Brennan returns to campus, keeping the flames alive with Josh Hollis, and trying to make a brand new drama-free start at Billings. But with the Billings girls, especially Cheyenne; former friend, she finds this impossible. The threats Cheyenne poses as Billings president, and to her romantic relationship with Josh lead them to full out war...and one player ends up dead...

Kate Brian has done such a wonderful job with this book. I love the fluff between Reed and Josh, the drama is satisfyingly scandalous and light intensity is ironic and wonderful! I love love love the work and the writing. A refreshing start to a brand new drama filled year.

Previously in PRIVATE:

Josh Hollis, Reed's new boyfriend, was arrested since everyone believed that he was the killer. But the murder of Thomas was finally solved when Ariana had confessed to going back, after the girls had kidnapped him and tied him up, and beating him to death, mainly because Thomas loved Reed more. While Ariana was arrested, so were the other girls, while Reed found her way back home, only to find herself wanting to go back to Easton Academy.

Now back at Easton, Reed hopes that it will be out with the old and in with the new. It is a new year, after all, and Reed just wants a normal life at Easton Academy. With Josh still by her side, Reed finds her rightful place in Billings, along with her new roommates, including Constance and Missy.

The Billings rituals have been taken away, and Reed is actually happy that those are out of her way. Now there is less of chance for something to go wrong.

Most of the girls do not mind, all except for Cheyenne Martin, who wants to appeal to tradition and have all the old rituals back. While proving to be Reed's newest enemy, Cheyenne not only wants to be the head of Billings but also wants to sabotage Reed's relationship along the way.

Even though Reed wants history to be erased, she has to know that it finds a way of repeating itself.

You thought all of the secrets and drama were up, but it is now just the beginning. The PRIVATE series just never gets old.

love them all!!!

some people think that the ideas kate brian has are coming from other books but i think that her books are awesome! she makes you want to beg for the next book. every time i am looking for a good book to read i go back to my favorite private books!

What ????

I don't know what my previous voters are talking about, but this book was amazing! Kate Brian always keeps her books full of suspense which I love! Every book in the private series leaves you hooked and begging to read more. I can't wait for Ambition to come out in May!

OMG

Yeah it was good. I DID NOT like the whole Josh-Shy thing. And it was a bit creepy when Reed kept getting those messages from Shy even after she died...or maybe that's the next book.But anyway it was still a good book.
