This manga was beautifully drawn and very detailed. While the story concept isn't exactly new, the first few pages certainly drew me in enough to purchase the book. The story is well written up until the middle, then I got the feeling I was missing some major background information somewhere and things started jumping all over the place. His powers weren't explored and characters that originally didn't have anything to do with each other are suddenly sacrificing themselves for half cooked reasons or suddenly developing hard core 'passion' for someone without proper explanation. Not to mention the merest hint of a in depth background on what allows the main character to do what he can, but is brushed aside without much thought. I believe if this manga was expanded, it could have been a hundred times better. Rather than losing much of it's story, they shouldn't have crammed this potential 5 volume long series into one volume. 3 stars for the potential and beautiful artwork.
If you like Death Note. I feel you will love this. Great story line and beautiful art.
Amazing! That's all i can say! The only way i can describe it is as if you took all of your favorite books then read this, The Innocent would DEFINETLY be at the top. I have read so many other comics and manga and i would have to say, overall that this is the BEST ONE!!!
I enjoyed the manga, however there were a few things that didn't sit very well with me: The first thing was that because of it being only one manga, I expect the story to be INCREDIBLE. The story came off to me as "okay".... The "gist" of the story was very clear, but the storyline didn't make it very clear. There were a few characters involved that I had no idea their names, and I even got character names mixed up, because there was a lot going on. Towards the end of the manga, ALOT began to happen all at once, and it was very overwhelming, especially after struggling to keep up with everything throughout the whole book. The artwork however was very captivating, and you could tell that the illustrators took their time with the details. This could've easily been a 3 or 4 volume series, and that would've allowed the readers to have more time to get to know the characters, and their backgrounds. I hardly knew anything about Angels or Ash's past, or anything of the sort. If this is your first time reading manga, I would NOT recommend you read this.
Loved it! Although slighty confusing at the end an overall fun read that took away my sleep.
While I did enjoy this for me the man character "Ash" fell a bit short he did not care about anyone around him just his revenge. While it felt the others around him grew character wise he seemed to stay the same. It was a good read and I will reread it just wished our anti- hero would had more depth to him. Also to note this is a one shot which with the plot would have loved to have seen this played out over at lest two more books.
This manga starts off by jumping right into the action and keeps it going until the end. Not only was the story line great, so was the art. No details were overlooked when making this manga. I love how it wasn't "predictable" as so many mangas are now a days. I recomend this manga to everyone. There is a little something in this manga for fans of many genres.
