A Laugh-Out-Loud Cupcakes and Crime Caper

"I tell myself every day that I don't hate my job. It doesn't pay as much as stripping or being a cocktail waitress, but I get to wear more clothes... Still, there's a reason I'm trying to leave the madness of the casino pit to become a Private Investigator..."

Cupcake-loving croupier Tiffany Black is determined to leave her job at the casino for good. She's one small step away from acquiring her Private Investigator license, and has her eye on the prize.

Accepting her first real case - investigating the murder of casino-mogul Ethan Becker - should be exciting. Instead, things spiral out of control and Tiffany finds herself in over her head, as she confronts secretive suspects, corrupt casino henchmen and her mysterious, ex-Special Forces bodyguard.

Tiffany's poker-hustling Nanna and pushy parents want her to find a nice man and settle down, but Tiffany just wants to track down the real murderer before he finds her first...

Loved this book. Twists and turns. Wondering who done it. And laughing at the funny bits. You'll love it!
Not quite a cozy, since it's set in Vegas, but it's a clean, light-hearted read.

I would have enjoyed this book a lot more if F#@K had not used so much.

This book was okay. I thought long and hard about what to rate it. There were some minor editing problems, transitions from one scene to another were almost nonexistant, the plot was okay, At least the heroine had a different type of employment. There was humor, a mild romance, some sex, but there was also F#@K , my least favorite word, used excessively. I will not buy any more books by this author. For adults.

    Just okay. Lots of errors.

So much useless babble that contributed nothing to the story.
Almost made me stop reading early on, but I decided to force my through.
I was not impressed and won't be looking for this author's books again.

Very well-written who-done-it! Kudos to A. R. Winters! I loved the main character,
Tiffany Black, and could identify with her as she tried to solve the murders while acquiring PI skills. It is a clean, light-hearted read with humor, a mystery or two, and a hint of romance. Nothing spices up a book like a little light-hearted flirting with good looking guys. This story line introduces two such hunky men and it promises to be interesting. If you like humor and mystery blended, you will enjoy this novel: there is always room for another good P.I. mystery line! I’m looking forward to A. R. Winters’ next book.

It's a fun book about a young woman who is working to get her PI license and has just taken on her first case.

    Truly enjoyed.

I truly enjoyed this book. An easy read, fun and entertaining. Very much like the Janet Evanovich book series. If you like Janet's books, you will like this book about Tiffany Black. Going to read the next one.

    Not funny.

Said to be "laugh out loud "funny. I found nothing in this book funny . Plot and characters are very similar to Stephanie Plum novels except lacking the humor and originality. Fair to good writing... but unlikely to read more from this author as there was little to recommend this book.

    Formulaic

This author is a good writer. But we have enough ditzy PIs complete with an eccentric grandmother and two love interests, one in security and one on the police force. And why would a person get their apartment vandalized, get physically threatened, get shot at and never file one police report.

    Good

This was a fun light hearted story. I especially like the Grandma. Two things I didn't like was the lack of romance and the rest of the series isn't available on B & N but is on Amazon. That's the second author thus week I have noticed that about. I wonder if the issue is with B & N. I would hate to have the kindle version being the option in the future.

    Loved it.

I rarely buy books. I will be on the lookout for the next one in this series. Will definitely buy it. Reminds me of the Stephanie Plum novels.
