About the Author

Krishan Arora is associated with Lovely Professional University as a Professor with more than 17 years of experience in academics and research. He is currently the Head of the Department of Power Systems in the School of Electronics and Electrical Engineering at Lovely Professional University. He completed his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from MM (Deemed to be) University, Ambala. He earned his M.Tech in Electrical Engineering from IKG Punjab Technical University, Punjab, and his B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from IKG Punjab Technical University, Punjab. He has published more than 85 research papers in refereed IEEE, Springer, and IOP Science journals and conferences. He has organized several workshops, summer internships, international conferences, special sessions, and expert lectures. He has also published six Indian patents and one copyright. He has supervised more than ten postgraduate theses and more than 30 undergraduate student projects. He has undertaken and completed 15 non‑government and consultancy projects. He has attended/participated in 24 national/international online webinars. His areas of expertise include electrical machines, non‑conventional energy sources, load frequency control, automatic generation control, and the modernization of smart grids. He has edited five books in different areas of electronics and electrical engineering. He has taught various courses at both UG and PG levels, such as power electronics, non‑conventional energy sources, electric drives, induction and synchronous machines, and digital electronics.

Himanshu Sharma earned his Ph.D. in Power Electronics from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh. He earned his M.Tech in Electrical Engineering from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh. He was associated with Lovely Professional University as an Assistant Professor and has more than 7 years of experience in academics. He is currently an Associate Professor at G. H.
