A greatest-hits album of sorts from Jose Luis Rodriguez, a particularly busy and surprisingly versatile Venezuelan singer. The bulk of the album is taken up with romantic ballads, as the title Unforgettable might suggest. There are hints of tango, samba, and mariachi as well, however. Throughout the album, it would seem that Rodriguez is making use of a number of Brazilian aesthetics, most notably through his phrasing. Arguably one of the better Rodriguez albums and certainly worth a listen, but first-timers may want to opt for Inolvidable the prior compilation first.
