Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
While traveling by car in California, the author, a journalist, felt compelled to move himself to the side of the car seconds before a bullet came through the windshield, just missing his head. What compelled him to move was a question that has nagged at him since. This work is the result of his efforts to answer that question and to determine whether there are supernatural forces working to protect and assist humans. Jovanovic proceeds by interviewing people, studying reports of sightings and near-death experiences, and analyzing a diverse set of mystical and religious writings, from Julian of Norwich and Joan of Arc to Raymond Moody. Jovanovic concludes that guardian angels do exist. His work is an investigative study written in an analytical style, which may put off some readers of more popularly written angel books. Recommended for appropriate collections.-Gail Wood, SUNY Coll. of Technology Lib., Alfred

A lot of research went into this book

A fascinating trip down all of the highways and byways that can lead to news about our Guardian Angels. Mr. Jovanovic spent a lot of time and consideration investigating the areas he was led to look into. A good read that I highly recommend -- even for those who are not 'religious'.

Very inspiring look at angels from a reporter's point of view.

This is an amazing book. I found out for the first time about many things I hadn't known before. The author of this book was a reporter for 16 years *before* writing this book. He uses his reporter's thoroughness and detachment (even humor) to discuss his title subject. In a quest to satisfy his curiosity whether guardian angels exist, he interviews many people and discusses many more. He talks to Elizabeth Kubler-Ross, Raymond Moody, a woman who saw the Blessed Virgin Mary in apparitions at Garabandal as a child, a 'Holy Victim' living in Canada, and discusses Blessed Padre Pio, St. Joan of Arc, and other saints as well. When he discusses angels helping to save people, he also asks (which I've not seen any other angel book do so far to this depth), why are other people not saved as well ? And then proceeds to dig for that answer as best any person could. It is fun to travel on the quest with the author, and if you read this book with an open heart, I believe you will come away from reading it with more faith and more knowledge on its topics than you had before. What more can a reader ask ? Also, you can search for the title online and find the author's own web page in order to read its first chapter free. That should give you a feel for the tone of the book... Highly recommended to all !

    Excellent Book

I have done a lot of reading of books on this subject. The author does a very good job condensing massive amounts of literature. I recommend it without reservation.
