Overview

Insanity We are all just one step away.

Omar Tyree, best known for his gritty urban novels, depicting the sexy, drama-filled lives of tough-minded African-American women from Flyy Girl, For The Love of Money, Leslie and Diary of a Groupie - all New York Times bestsellers - returns to his reader base with Insanity, a powerful, modern day housewife drama, uncovering the disastrous dark side of a woman with cold-hearted and seductive ambition. Queen Tillis-Thompson, a sex-loving wife, a calculating mother, and a social climbing professional from the tough inner city streets of West Baltimore will stop at nothing in her rise to wealthy and security, even if it means sharing a few beds, stepping on toes, and smashing all egos. She boldly states, “Don’t ever underestimate me . . . If I need to be that bitch, I will be that bitch. If I need to be that hoe, I will be that hoe. And if I need to be that studious nerd, virgin or whatever, then I will be that too.” Named and raised by a young, single and obsessive mother who did all she could to make certain her only child could escape the many failures of the Baltimore streets, Queen uses her smarts, her body and her iron will, including an elite education to survive and strive, while carefully scheming on the most profitable. In her unapologetic zeal, she is easily willing to use and abuse family, friends, and lovers without sympathy. Queen wants what she wants by any means necessary; a husband, money, career advances, playthings, and a luxurious home, church affiliation, and prestigious schools, friends and future mates for her three children. As you can imagine, Queen eventually forces everyone, including close family members, to choose their love or hate loyalties. Either they admire her get-it-girl motivation, or they beg for her destruction and downfall. After a mysterious and untimely death of her treasured husband, they get their wish, when the impoverishment of her family’s estate and the recession of the American economy threatens to ruin everything that Queen has worked so hard to build, forcing her to plead for help from friends and foes who may be thinking of her best interest. Queen and her children find themselves struggling to overcome one calamity after another, the driven widow and mother spirals into a bloody, hotel-room murder that sends her twisted mind plummeting over the edge of sanity, while she questions the very God who made her, and plots a final scheme to save herself and her family from infamy. Insanity, the return of Omar Tyree in a big bad American drama, filled with seduction chapter after thrilling chapter. They don’t call her the “Queen” for nothing. Horrible

I thought it might be an interesting read from the description. It most certainly did not. This book was such a hodge podge
All over the place and not in a clever way. I wish I could give it zero stars. It is only $3.99 but that is $4.00 too much...this author has done amazing work...but not this one.

    Wth!!

Good plot, but my book ended on page 445 with real ending. Did Queen keep her child? Marry?

    Better than i thought!

When i first started this book i figured it was just another sex novel. This book made me realize that no matter ur background u must rise about the hate. When ppl say u can not do something prove to them that u can. Plus all women are not whores.......loved the book!

Worst book I've ever read in my life . Not worth the $3.99 I spe

Worst book I've ever read in my life . Not worth the $3.99 I spent . The prologue was better than the two books combined. From the grammatical errors to the ending the book mid sentence . And how is book 2 worth the same as book 1 when there are far less pages?

    Where's the rest?

When i ordered the book for the Nook online it said it had 445 pages but when I read all the way to the endbit seemed like the ending was a 'to be continued' kind of thing. I was a little disappointed at the end but the book was getting really good! Don't really hae an opinion about the book as a whole because I felt like it wasnt over.

    Confused

The book was pretty good but ended abruptly. Insanity part 2 is only 87 pages long so I'm a little confused. I hope this isn't an ebook series....if so, its not worth paying $3.99 for a few pages. Lastly, there was a lot of grammatical errors. I expected so much more from Omar Tyree.
