Meet the Author

John Woodward has been a wildlife enthusiast all his life, with a particular interest in the more bizarre life-forms that flourish in the world’s oceans. He has written more than 30 books and many hundreds of articles on all aspects of wildlife, earth sciences and the natural environment, and has helped to produce many major reference books and encyclopedias covering various aspects of science and the natural world.

Stephen Moss is a television producer, writer and broadcaster specializing in British wildlife, especially birds. He works at the BBC Natural History Unit in Bristol, where he has been responsible for many successful series, including Birding with Bill Oddie, Big Cat Diary, The Nature of Britain and Springwatch. He writes a monthly column on birdwatching for The Guardian, and regularly contributes to magazines and radio programs. His books include A Bird in the Bush: a Social History of Birdwatching, This Birding Life, A Sky Full of Starlings and The Bumper Book of Nature.

Nicholas Forder is a children’s author and illustrator who specializes in wildlife illustration.
