Hey. Im a self injurer and i am proud of it!! Yet i have to hide it around my friends and classmates, its apart of my life. I read the sample of this book and it speaks of the truth of cutters. I go through a lot of what it says..... i cry and feel totally helpless and worthless most days. But i hide it pretty well around others. I guess you learn to hide things from others when you cut.... /: well imma go....

Notwithstanding the authors faith in SPECT brain scanning, the book is good look at the diversity of what can go on inside of a self-harmers mind. Instead of trying to present a simple explanation, the book presents many contradictory ideas. But this in truth closer to reality than any single theory about self harm. Highly recommended for those trying to understand self-harm.
