All Music Guide - Ken Dryden
Randy Sandke is known as a superb interpreter of classic jazz, mainstream jazz, and swing, but this ear-opening CD will surprise more than a few listeners. Ehrlich's adventurous "Like I Said"; Mackrel's tense, complex blues "Simple Pleasures"; and Peplowski's playful "D.T." are but a few of the CD's many high points; it's easier to say that everyone involved obviously had a great time, and it shows in their performances without exception. Highly recommended.
