Meet the Author

Dr. Berenson has a lifelong interest in creativity, mental imagery, sexual behavior, spirituality and holds a firm belief that no one should live life unfulfilled or hampered by inner or outer obstacles. He has devoted his life to helping many people overcome barriers, and thus freeing them to lead happy and meaningful lives.

In his psychiatric practice he watched as people grew and flourished. He is convinced that by knowing how to overcome negative mindsets people are capable of changing how they think and how they live. If they want to change, change is ahead. They only need to maintain motivation and learn the techniques and methods to pursue a new path.

His many books touch those areas that tend to stimulate individuals in their search for a meaningful and happy life. Among the subjects covered are: awakening creativity, love and sex, a special diet and exercise program, helping couples achieve intimacy, how to open a new world for retirees to make retirement work and ways to overcome severe emotional problems.

In his novels he alludes to themes such as reincarnation, virtual reality, living without a soul, the dangers of global warming and worldwide pollution and how dreams reveal insights and memories that help solve a complex murder mystery.

Dr. Berenson is Clinical Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry at the USC Keck School of Medicine and has been a Training and Supervising Analyst with the Los Angeles Society and Institute of Psychoanalysis. He is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, the American Psychoanalytic Association, the International Psychoanalytic Association, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honorary Medical Society.

He lives with his wife, Irene, in Palos Verdes Estates, California. Together they share the love and friendship of six children and eleven grandchildren.
