Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
I found this surprisingly useful despite the girl-friendly cover, which depicts an idealized bride ticking off items from her checklist. It's a functional workbook that serves as a "binder" with checklists, a place for info storage, and a repository for the endless amount of sticky notes she will doubtlessly generate in the process of reforming you from knuckle-walker to handsome groom. And handy guidance abounds, such as a calculator for the amount of booze needed and checklists for each prospective wedding location's pros and cons. It even has seating assignment charts so you can make sure Aunt Agatha doesn't sit next to Uncle Morty. On the whole, this is somewhat akin to a Leatherman tool; it's sound, practical, and wide-ranging, but it won't be the be-all, end-all for the total plan. That takes specialized tools. And a lot of Xanex. But for a simple mechanism that looks as if it will even fit into a normal-sized purse, what's not to like?Alternate Take: T.L. Bonaddio's Stick It!: 99 DIY Duct Tape Projects. Leatherman, duct tape, instant wedding planner, they are all tools. A wedding is a project, just like a messenger bag made out of duct tape that you cut with your Leatherman snips. Have fun, kids.—Douglas Lord, "Books for Dudes," BookSmack! 8/5/10

    A reviewer

I came across this book in the bookstore and found it to be great even for those who aren't planning to wed in 6 months time. I have over a year to plan, but this book is wonderful! It has space to write down multiple venue options in order to compare them in one place. It has a place to start organizing the guest list and then an address section for the guests which includes whether you've received the RSVP, gifts, thank you notes and whether the guest has special needs (ie. food option for dinner). Also, the very front of the book is a place for all the contacts you will use on the wedding day once you have finalized your options throughout the book so it is convenient for the big day. I was very pleased to find this book. I've heard from several reviews that there isn't a book that does it all and I admit this is my second book (my other book is the everything wedding organizer), as it is specific to the wedding/reception and not to all the parties/events taking place before/after (ie. only one paragraph for the honeymoon and nothing for the showers beforehand), but for being wedding specific this small book has everything I need to make plans and finalize the wedding and reception.

    Very Helpful

I just bought this book and even though my wedding is over a year away this planner is still very helpful! With plenty of room to put my guest list, notes and venue options, I won't be going to any wedding appts without it! Just because it says its for planning weddings in 6 months or less I would recommend this to any bride no matter when their wedding is.

Instant Wedding Planner - great minds think alike!

This book caught my eye on the display table. I love the cover illustration and found the inside pages to be just as charming. I bought this for my niece who is getting married in June and mailed it off to her the next day. As it turns out, she already had a copy and has started using it! A friend gave it to her, which is where great minds think alike came in. I hope all brides to be get a chance to see this wonderful book.
