Overview

This deluxe collector's edition of the #1 New York Times bestselling dystopian sensation is perfect for fans and collectors alike, and includes:

  • "Free Four": This pivotal thirteen-page scene from Divergent, retold from Tobias's point of view, reveals unknown facts and fascinating details about Four's character, his past, his own initiation, and his thoughts about new Dauntless initiate Tris Prior.
  • A ribbon bookmark
  • An exclusive, full-color foldout poster
  • Faction tattoos
  • Deckled edges

Forty-eight pages of bonus content, including interviews with Veronica Roth, playlists, faction party tips, and much more!

One choice can transform you—or it can destroy you. But every choice has consequences, and as unrest surges in the factions all around her, Tris Prior must continue trying to save those she loves—and herself—while grappling with haunting questions of grief and forgiveness, identity and loyalty, politics and love.

Tris's initiation day should have been marked by celebration and victory with her chosen faction; instead, the day ended with unspeakable horrors. War now looms as conflict between the factions and their ideologies grows. And in times of war, sides must be chosen, secrets will emerge, and choices will become even more irrevocable—and even more powerful. Transformed by her own decisions but also by haunting grief and guilt, radical new discoveries, and shifting relationships, Tris must fully embrace her Divergence, even if she does not know what she may lose by doing so.

#1 New York Times bestselling author Veronica Roth's second book of the dystopian Divergent series is another intoxicating thrill ride of a story, rich with hallmark twists, heartbreaks, romance, and powerful insights about human nature.

    Divergent and Insurgent

The books are great! I love them. I believe that Insurgent is better than Divergent because it keeps you more on the edge not knowing if Tobias and Tris will make it through the ups and downs of the relationship. I actually cried at multiple parts in both books because things between them seemed so real.

Its good, but not as good as Divergent. Still like it. Read book 1 first, though. It'll make more sense.

    A middle...

It could have stood alone, if the factionless had more of a role. It's painful to wait for the last installment.

    GREAT BOOK!!

I read diveregent and it was good but at some parts slow. On the other hand this book was just amazing! I couldn't put the book down everytime I turned the page something new happened that was so exciting. Tris was so much stronger in this book and some times she made me angery bc she was wrong and wouldn't admit it. I found myself yelling, laughing and crying during this book. The very last line made me go crazy it is the clif hangers of all clue hangers everyone needs to read this

    Loved this book!

Wow! Loved this book! I can't wait for the third book of the trilogy to come out in October. I have already pre-ordered it! I have to agree with the person on facebook who recommended the series that I liked it maybe even better than The Hunger Games, and that is saying alot. While the Hunger Games probably touched me more on an emotional level, it was a very difficult and depressing read that left me drained for days afterwards. Although Insurgent is certainly still a dystopian vision of the future, it was more of a wild rollercoaster ride! The action never seemed to stop! Often the second book of a trilogy tends to be more of a place holder--transitioning you from the first introductory book to the third action-packed conclusion. This book never slowed down! And the ending was satisfying in itself, while still leaving you highly anticipitory of what will happen in book three. The violence is high in this one, on a YA level, but still it is war. But the character study is excellent. And I will say that for the last 100 pages, I speculated on the possible answer to the big question--the answer our heroine was seeking. And I will say that out of 3 possible scenarios I imagined, I did come at least close to guessing the twist at the end!

Love the entire story. The characters and what they each have to add to the meaning of being divergent and in factions.

    Read book three times already!

This book is wonderful. If you liked the Hunger Games Trilogy, you will love this book. It is the second in a series of three, with a chapter from the first book (Free Four) rewritten from another character's perspective. The collector's edition has this chapter in the back as well. You do really want to read the first book before hand as it gives a lot of needed background not just to the characters but to the dystopian government at work. The third book will be released in Fall 2013 and it can't come out soon enough. Definitely worth the read and the ending will throw you for a loop!
