It is all too easy for us to think of Jesus as unemotional and always serene. We tend to envision him calmly sailing through conflict, doubt, and despair without the kind of soul-searching and struggle that most of us experience. Nothing could be further from the truth. And it is those moments in the life of Christ — when he struggled and when he felt intense emotion — that are the focus of Ken Gire's Intense Moments with the Savior. This book offers short meditations on the human feelings Christ experienced as, for instance, he battled the temptations of Satan; as he confronted the money-changers in the temple, and as he prayed in Gethsemane the day before his own death. Author Biography: Ken Gire is author of the best-selling Intimate Moments with the Savior and of Incredible Moments with the Savior, Instructive Moments with the Savior, and Intense Moments with the Savior. A graduate of Texas Christian University and Dallas Theological Seminary, he lives in Monument, Colorado. He and his wife Judy, have four children.
