Overview

The most widely-used text on the topic of collaboration, Interactions is a guide for preprofessionals and professionals to help them understand and participate effectively in their interactions with other school professionals and parents, in an increasingly diverse world that is also now routinely electronically and globally connected.

Interactions presents theory and conceptual principles heavily seasoned with examples, cases, and applied activities. Written specifically to enable readers to quickly use their skills in professional settings, the book will be a useful tool for preservice educators and practitioners—whether they are engaged in formal instructional settings, a study group, or independent study.

This widely read classic is an excellent primer on normal anatomy and physiology, basic microbiology, chemistry, and an introduction to the human disease process. New to this edition is a beautifully revised design and art program with new illustrations that include anatomical line drawings and clinical photos and photomicrographs. New content includes "Word Derivations" sections that promote recognition of scientific terms, "Health Professions" boxes that provide information on the various health careers, and new types of end-of chapter questions. A Blackboard online course student access code and a back-of-book student CD-ROM with an image atlas and audio pronunciation glossary are included. LiveAdvise online student tutoring and faculty support come as a bonus with every text. Please visit http://connection.lww.com/liveadvise for more information.

Editorial Reviews

From The Critics
Reviewer: Anthony J. Tocco, BS, RRT, RPFT(William Beaumont Hospitals)
Description: This is a very good book for beginning students and for the healthcare workers looking to brush up on their knowledge. The book's structure and layout is appealing and the repetition of significant items makes for meaningful reinforcement.
Purpose: The purpose is to provide beginning students with basic information required in the healthcare field. This is a very worthy objective and the book is certainly needed.
Audience: The book is written primarily for students, but would be a worthy addition to any healthcare provider's library. The author is a credible authority.
Features: A wide range of topics is covered, from basic anatomy to in-depth disease processes. What is best about the book is the exploded views of graphs and drawings.
Assessment: This is a real asset for the healthcare student. A wide variety of topics is covered in an easy to read, easy to understand matter.
