This was a surprise. I'm a student at Texas U San Marcos Texas and the story started in Iraq but ended in my back yard!! Good characters and the way they move from one area to another keeps you interested in what comes next. Evidently the author---Gast stays up with new weapons better than Clancy does--the airborn laser used in the part taking place in India was just in the news a few months ago. His character, "DJ" has some bright friends and he sounds a lot like vince Flyn's Mitch Rapp but a lot younger. I'm glad to see that this is the first in a new series and believe me,---I'll be in line for the next book.

This is one that is right on the money when it comes to close-to-reality action. The author's description of the chase from Pakistan to Texas makes this thriller a page turner by defination. I tried to close it three times before I could leave it and go to bed. The fact that it is the first in a series---hopefully using the same characters--DJ Jacobs and the girl FBI agent and even the antagonist Haydar---makes it a book that you want to keep handy on your shelf when you get the next title.
