What an absolutely fabulous addition to any book lovers collection, especially for the lovers of Steampunk, one of the funnest and most exuberant genres of the 21st century. Much like the beloved Renn-Faires, Steampunk too has evolved to include a massive following. From conventions, faires, & cosplay, Steampunk is generating into a rich financial income for many, especially within the fashion industry.

This book is a large coffee table edition filled with rich fashions including gadgets, corsets, hats, skirts, hair and makeup, and displaying a vast array of mechanical gadgets that breathe light into the imaginary world of Victorian meets mechanical. The photography throughout this book is a combination of numerous photographers from all over the world who have pulled together their greatest designs to show the endless possibilities of such a simple idea. I have spent hours looking through the pages of this book allowing my imagination to run wild and inspiring my own artistic flair. If you too are into the fun of Steampunk, you will want to include this book into your library. It will definitely be a conversation piece.

"The intelligence behind this most stunning work by the Victoriana Lady Lisa, is the fact of its breath and depth stemming from her worldly, all inclusive, approach to its content. Everyone was invited to submit their work. From California to Croatia the word went out; from Croatia to California they responded!!! The crowning glory a beautifully adorned glimpse at the latest in Victorian on steroids! And nobody knows Victorian like the Victoriana Lady Lisa. An aficionado of the era, she has spent the last 15 years exploring the history, and exhibiting her extensive collection of authentic, antique fashions and accessories for the multitude of Victorian fans. Folks, Steampunk will be around for a good long time. Madison Avenue is jumping on the bandwagon, and Hollywood, too!"International Steampunk Fashions", the book, was a great and pleasant surprise upon initial sighting. My first impression was that it was a 'labor of love', in a 192 pages, on the part of the Victoriana Lady Lisa, and her publisher - Schiffer Publishing. Kudos to both, you have so much to be proud of.Now for an overall characterization. 'International Steampunk Fashions' is not a techno, 'how-to' style of book, but an alluringly adorned compilation of some of the finest in Steampunk design, fashions and photography including many of the famed in the genre, such as Thomas Willeford, Kato, Abney Park, Graf Starkall, Hatton Cross Steampunk, Daniel Proulx, Dr. Brassy Steamington, Gretchen Jacobson, Maurice Grunbaum Redstar, Lady Bird's Hatberdashery, Artifice Club and League of S.T.E.A.M., just to name a few. The colors explode; designs electrify, and the talent inspires. Having said that folks, in simplified terminology it's pure, unabashed eye-candy; a must have for any Victorian and/or Steampunk devotee."

Steampunk Fashions is an aesthetic success! Upon viewing it, one is taken to a magical place filled with imagination and fantasy. Turn a page and you will be taken to a victorian seductress from the past....and yet is she?  Perhaps she is a voluptuous machine with gorgeous eyes? Could he be the Ringleader  from that circus in town? The mystique and grandeur contained within this book mimic life with an underlying grace and style threaded throughout with a sly  humor.  Steampunk is captured at it's best by Victoriana Lady Lisa Griffith's wellknown appreciation of all things beautiful and captivating. This book is of the highest quality, pages of glossy photographs fine honing the art of Steampunk fashion.  It includes enchanting and informative biographies on the models in the photographs as well as an added bonus. The section on jewelry and accessories alone has "hooked me" into this strange and exciting new world of fashion. Purchase this lovely new tome,  I recommend it highly!!!
