After moving home from a life in Ethiopia, my whole world was shattered. Nothing was the same - not the grocery store, not the streets, not my relationships. Everything I encountered was seen through a new filter. But nothing was changed more than my understanding of and relationship with my faith. Reading Interrupted, it was like Jen Hatmaker was reading my mind and understanding my heart for Christ. Her clever, witty, and raw writing style put to paper what I have begun to understand more and more - that our lives as Christians - true followers of Christ - need be based on nothing more than our service to the least of these.
But for those who are not moving home from a life-altering experience in Africa, her words will ring just as true. Jen's down to earth style and very real perspective make the book easily accessible and a great read. The book is funny, emotional, engaging, and truly inspiring for lifelong Christians, new converts, and skeptics alike.
